Beauty Product Reviews
Very nice foundation. Color matches my Fair skin with yellow undertones very nicely. My only concern is that for the price, the foundation will be used up in no time flat. You can't see how much product is left and it's a liquid in a compact. There is a button that you push and foundation comes out a hole in the compact. In my experience, this type of packaging usually contains less foundation than the bottle types. Time will tell I guess!
I used this after all my skincare and sunscreen and concealer but before my foundation so in effect, I'm using Blur Expert as a primer. It does blur imperfections and pores and works wonderfully under foundation. I use a dense, flat top brush and I stipple Blur Expert onto my skin. I would definitely purchase again.
Very nice for brightening!
I alternate this with my vitamin C and it does brighten and reduce the look of pores. The texture is very nice. However, I do notice that if you layer sunscreen or makeup over it, it will roll off in little balls. For that reason, I now only use it at night and it's fine.
Got a sample of this and it's wonderful!
I am definitely getting a full size bottle of this and the serum. Feels fantastic on my skin. I have oily skin but due to age, it is dehydrated underneath and oily on top. This vitalizing water hydrates without being oily. It says it's a vitalizing water but I am using it like I would an essence so putting a bit on my hands patting it on the skin. I got a sample of this with my last beautylish order but will be ordering a full bottle soon.
Least favorite of all my cleansing balms...greasy residue
This leaves a greasy residue on my hands and face that I can't get off without using soap and scrubbing with a wash cloth. I did use the mitt with it and you pretty much need to launder the mitt after using it with the balm. You can't just rinse it clean. I bought some microfiber cloths so maybe I will try using those instead of the mitt and see if that's better. At least I have a pack of microfiber cloths so those can go into the laundry after a couple of uses. It's a nice balm just too much of a greasy residue for my oily skin.
My favorite cleansing balm
This removes everything...waterproof makeup, liner, makeup. I like the spatula that comes with it. It is similar to Good Molecules balm but I think I like Farmacy just a wee bit better...it's the consistency I think that I prefer with the Farmacy vs. Good Molecules. Good Molecules is good too...don't get me wrong!
Best mascara and primer I have ever used!
I got the curator lash instrument plus the Hourglass curator primer and mascara and you have to use with the lash instrument. I have poker stick, straight, sparse, asian lashes that do NOT hold a curl. After curling my lashes, I applied the primer with the last instrument and then wiped the primer off of the lash instrument using a damp microfiber towel, and then wiping on a dry microfiber towel to get rid of moisture before dipping the instrument into the mascara. The results were YOWZA! I had lashes and it held all day...like 18 hours all day. It never smudged or flaked. The lashes stayed curled and never dropped. It is amazing. To remove the mascara and primer, I had to use waterproof makeup remover and cleanser. It took several cleanings before I could remove all of it.
So I have all these other mascaras and primers and I had to try the lash instrument with them just so I can satisfy my curiosity. First off, the lash instrument is designed so it is almost too big to go into the opening of other mascaras and primers but I did manage to get other brands of primer and mascara coated on the instrument. I also think other primers and mascaras are a bit too thick to use with the lash instrument. I think the Hourglass curator primer and mascara are thinner in consistency than regular primers and mascaras to coat the instrument better. So that being said, the lash instrument was able to deposit other brands of primer and mascara on my lashes with satisfactory results (was able to tightline and get every lash that I can't do with a standard mascara brush) but I did not get the YOWZA results I got when I used the Hourglass curator primer and mascara with the lash instrument.
I would definitely purchase the Hourglass primer and mascara again! The lash instrument will last me for the rest of my life I think!
