My all time favorite shadows

Despite the mixed reviews, I purchased 6 of these shadows as well as a grande palette. My shades are haute chocolate, soie, chameau, chocolate noir, poudre, and noir le plus noir. I love every one of them. I believe that the reason the reviews are mixed is that people want different things from their eyeshadow. If you want a delicate, translucent wash of silky yet highly pigmented color that looks smooth on any age lid, you will LOVE these. If, however, you put on a bunch of primer, load up your brushes with these shadows and put on quite a bit and then blend them all together, you will end up with a muddy looking mess. With these shadows, easy does it. In fact, I really like applying these with my fingers. With the darker shades, just a bit is plenty for the crease. I often don’t even use primer with these. The mattes are still somehow luminous and the shimmers are understated - never garish. They are SO finely milled!!! I’m blown away and love how beautifully my 6 shades work together and how much I’m loving using the black as a soft liner with a setting liquid over the top. I also want to address the size issue. They do look small all by themselves - each in a tiny box The tininess is an illusion caused by the packaging and the fact that we are mostly used to shadows encased in substantial cases and palettes. These are made to be placed into the very simple but lovely Surratt palettes, where they suddenly look much larger. In fact, the amount of product and size of the square is as large or larger than most of my shadows from high end brands. Here is a photo of my Surratt palette (middle) next to Viseart (left) and It Cosmetics (right). As you can see, the Surratt shadows are at least as big as the Viseart & MUCH bigger than the It shadows. The same is true with Tilbury, Chanel, and others I have compared. I like the minimalist packaging and the ability to create my own palette. My one complaint, as with other reviewers, is that I wish the system used magnets instead of adhesive so that the shadows could be changed out. The little plastic covers are really nice for protecting the shadows you haven’t yet inserted into a palette. I can see that for people trying to use these separately, they would get lost in a makeup bag because they are mostly shadow with very little surrounding plastic. Depending on your desires and expectations you will love these or be disappointed! Just don’t let the size complaints deter you because these are perfectly respectably sized shadows when evaluated objectively.

A beautiful bronzer

I have had my bottle now for a year and a half. It is still going strong and I still love it. Any time I want a glowy, natural, transparent flush of color, I reach for it. The amount of shimmer is subtle and perfect. I can use it under or over foundation or on bare skin. I use it on my legs, too. It has never failed me in heat or humidity. This a truly a great product. I spray a bit in my palm and apply it to my face with my fingers; when I wash my hands afterwards, it is easy to see just how lasting it is!

How do I love thee???

Holy cow! Let me count the ways: smudge proof, glossy, clump proof, dramatic or natural - your choice, fabulous two-step applicator (not a gimmick!), non-irritating. Truthfully, this mascara checks all of my boxes. I’m always disappointed in mascara; not this time!

Almost perfect....

First off, I love this liner pencil above all others for a natural, everyday, lasting line. It is thin and a wonderful shade. I intend to use every millimeter of it and buy another. My only quibble is that it is a bit hard for me to get it to line the inner half of my eye unless I pull the lid taut. It could be a tad creamier, but that would probably mean it wouldn’t be as lasting, which would be a shame. Great product!

Simply the best!

Looking for a natural, lasting, foolproof brow pencil? I was, and I’ve definitely found it in this product. It goes on so beautifully and without looking waxy or overdone. I haven’t tried to sculpt a dramatic brow with it, because that’s not my thing, so I can’t comment on its usefulness in that regard. For my purposes in filling in my brows for a soft, natural look I could not be happier. I have blonde hair and dark blonde brows and the light brown is perfect.

Fabulous!

I wear Maifanshi Moisture Foundation in 002 and I love this concealer palette. Yes, it does run a bit towards yellow, but the shades seem to blend magically to neutralize under eye darkness and perfect the area around my eyes. I am also able to mix a tone that works on minor blemishes on my light, cool skin. This product would not be a good choice for heavy duty coverage, but the texture for the under eye and lid area is the best I have found - smooth, silky, lasting, and looking like natural skin. I’m 64 and absolutely hate the look of most concealers around my eyes. Bonus: It plays nicely with my products from The Ordinary. This is a game changer for me! It is expensive, but I expect it to last quite a while. Some reviewers I read complained about the nifty little extending brush that comes with it. I mostly use my fingers, but must say that I find the little brush quite handy for detail work.

Oh, my! I’m in love!!

My search is over. This is the best foundation-bar none - I have ever used. It is a true pleasure to apply and leaves my skin looking and feeling great, and without any hint of being masked by makeup. The coverage is smooth, soft, and natural and an added bonus is that it photographs beautifully. It is hard to describe the finish, which is not matte, not dewey, but more air brushed. For me, fingers are the best tools to apply this product. I love the ease of this tube with its tiny nozzle and think it will last a while, although it is small. Koh Gen Do is a stellar company for those who love a natural makeup look.

The best

Silky, luminous, lasting, natural, ethereal, smooth, gorgeous.... I love these shadow quads in every way. If you are seeking color payoff in sheer, natural, wearable tones, you cannot go wrong with either the cool pink or warm brown palettes. The quality is stunning. Highly recommended!

Best ever?

I haven't had this mascara long, but at this point I would say it is possibly my all-time favorite (and there have been many high end mascaras in my life). I love how easily and smoothly it applies and that I can add additional coats any time without clumping. It stays on all day without smearing and yet removes easily. It allows for an impressive range of effects from very natural to long and lush based on how many coats are applied. I will reserve final judgment once I see how it holds up in summer heat. I HATE raccoon eyes and hope it won't disappoint when heat and humidity are upon us. I will try to remember to update my review then.

Best blush ever in my 61 years!

I love everything about it - the beautiful color (I agree that it is somewhat reminiscent of NARS Orgasm, but more naturally glowy, somehow), the lovely texture, the way it lasts and lasts and lasts all day, the way it blends so softly into my skin so that it doesn't look like I have a layer of blush sitting on my face or highlighting imperfections. It is illuminating, but without visible glitter particles mixed in. Yes, it is expensive, but I have used mine very frequently for two months and can hardly tell I've used it. The problem is that none of my other blushes will do now and I use my two Densiliss blushes all the time. Every time I pick up the beautiful, heavy silver rounded compact I sigh with pleasure (and I keep it in the luxurious velvet sleeve so that it doesn't get scuffed up). My ONLY complaint is that I wish the compacts could be recycled with blush refills. It seems a horrific waste not to reuse something so high quality that uses so much metal. Please consider refills, Terry!
