Beauty Product Reviews
This brush exists for good reason...
I have very soft blush brushes. My Make Up For Ever blush brush is goregous and well-made and softer than soft but it's super bendy and not as precise as I would like. I wanted a blush brush that was a little stiffer so I had more control over my application and this brush is PERFECTION for that!
No, it doesn't feel like silk on your face but it also doesn't feel like tree bark. It's not really all that rough or scratchy. I think we've all become accustomed to such extreme softness in our synthetic brushes that anything less feels cheap. But sometimes you need depth and hold, like in this brush which was created specifically for the swish and pop blushses (which are all I've been reaching for lately). Here the stiffness of this brush is marvelous because I can easily distinguish between the two shades. And it picks up color so effortlessly. but doesn't eat it down into the bristles. It's a wonderful brush! It's fabulous for highlighting as well. I think this is a brush that everyone would benefit from having in their collection.
Next up for me is Charlotte's bronzing brush!
As Close to Flawless as I'm Going to Get!
I bought this mostly because I'm in love with the CT blushes and I thought I'd give her powder a try and the packaging was pretty. That was it. I wasn't expecting such a marvelous product that would basically take my skin back in time and just make it look kind of...perfect. I'm only exaggerating a tiny bit. This powder is just gorgeous. Before using this I was using a Givenchy powder and THAT product is amazing so for the Charlotte Tilbury to top the Givenchy it has to be pretty extraordinary and it is. I have no regrets and it's a pleasure to use it every day.
Horrible grainy texture
Stay away! On first application I thought I may have found my perfect nude lipstick but after just a few swipes I noticed a weird texture to the product - kinda sandy, grainy and gritty. I even cut away at the top third of the product to see if I cut down enough the weird texture would be gone. Nope. It's throughout the entire lipstick. Very gross and a big waste of money. Won't be wearing this and won't be buying any more shades.
