Pretty Good

I’ve been ordering the XL lucky bags for years, and I know people have complaints every year, but this was the first time I truly felt underwhelmed and even shorted. While the items in my XL bag did total around $375, I got repeat items that I had recieved just last year, same color and all. I understand there is an aspect of “randomness” to the bags, and that they usually include certain types of things, but it did feel as if much of what I recieved was just to clear out stock. For example, the order consisted mainly of seasonal sets, limited edition palettes, and repeated items — some of which aren’t even currently available to purchase through beautylish, which seems odd… I will repurchase again, because there usually are many good things and the mystery is so fun, but I hope there is a little more consideration put into what’s making its way into bags next year.

Expertly crafted

First of all, beautylish never disappoints with its customer service - 5 stars just for that. The brushes are wonderful. I’ve seen other reviews that have noted the size (they aren’t quite as long as a “typical” brush, but are bigger than many compact or travel brushes), but I think the size is ideal for storage, travel, and use. They fit comfortably into your hand and make doing eye makeup so simple. You really have everything you need with this set and more. Plus I love mine even more after washing them, which can’t be said for many other brushes. Excited to purchase more Sonia G brushes because the quality and craft is amazing.

Overall good

I can’t knock the brush itself, because overall it is amazing. Well made, nice weight, extremely soft. I would just say the description of the brush is off and should probably be rewritten. I agree with other users - this brush is not suitable for blush or bronzer because it’s too small and dense. However, I haven’t yet tried it with cream products and it may work okay with them. That being said, this is the BEST highlight brush I have ever used. It’s so soft and smooth, so it diffuses highlight perfectly and it’s just the right size for the high points of the face. All in all, it’s a Wayne Goss brush - it’s amazing.

Finely milled

This powder is so finely milled that it blends seamlessly into the skin. I love that it doesn't emphasize any dry areas or areas with fine lines like under the eyes, however, because it is so finely milled I do need to use a little bit more powder than I typically would. The packaging is not my favorite because the product just gets everywhere, so I switched it into an old container from another face powder and that makes using this product much less difficult. Overall it's great, especially for the price and keeps my makeup in place!
