Hey, here's this that I wrote on another thread about using the Clarisonic. You can purchase on their website, Sephora, Ulta, and usually department stores like Macys, Dillards, etc. Let me know if the pic's I post are too small. I struggled with some acne for a little while and going to the derm did not help me but if using other products doesn't work then I would recommend you go to one and see if they can help. I went to a couple of different ones and I felt like I was just wasting my money on products that were just irritating my skin and wasting money... Anyways I'll start with my skin routine: 1) I just wash my face with a gentle cleanser in the mornings and then moisturize (I use CeraVe for cleanser and moisturizer). 2) In the evenings I remove my makeup with Neutrogena makeup wipes. 3) After removing my makeup I use Philosophy Clear Days with my Clarisonic Mia (I just recently bought the Mia 2 but just the regular Mia which is $99 is exactly the same except it doesn't have the different settings like Mia 2; which I don't use the different setting so if you do ever get a Clarisonic then I would just get the Mia not Mia 2). 4) After I using my Clarisonic I then moisturize, use a spot treatment and go to bed! And thats it... Since you're having issues I recommend that you remove makeup, wash, tone (I really like Murad's Toner and I think their Clarifying Cleanser would help your skin; but the Philosophy Clear Days Acne Starter Kit is great too and I've been using it for a year and my skin rarely even gets pimples now). Exfoliating will also help but if you get a Clarisonic then thats not really necessary because the Clarisonic takes care of that for you. One more thing, NEVER EVER EVER EVER... Ever lol go to bed without at least removing your makeup! That is something that has helped me more than anything. Even if you don't wear makeup you should still wash your face because of all the junk your skin picks up throughout the day. Oh and another tip that helped me tremendously is just using the same product brands. What I mean by that is that before I was using one acne cleanser then another after and then a spot treatment and sometimes another treatment to help double duty; well this was just actually making my skin worse because a lot of times separate brands can react with one another and have to opposite effect and make your acne worse. I know I mentioned I use CeraVe in the am and Philosophy at night but its okay because the CeraVe is gentle enough and not an acne cleanser; and I'm also using hours apart so its okay.
