Beauty Product Reviews
Light, but hydrating
I’ve been using Bioderma micellar water for a few years, and recently developed some type of allergic reaction to my Kiel’s moisturizer, so I thought I’d give Biodermas a try. This is the light one, and that’s a valid description. It’s definitely lightweight, but gets the job done. I generally have very sensitive, reactive skin and this goes on without irritation. My biggest complaint is the size of the bottle - I finished one in about 1.5 months.
Great color, not as smooth as I'd like
Let me start off by saying I kind of hate to be the one person who gives this a less than 5-star review.
The color of these lip liners are amazing. I ordered Crazy in Love as well as Pillow Talk and the colors are both great.
However, to those who said they are soft and buttery -- tell me your magical ways!! I use lipliner almost everyday as a substitute for lipstick, and I so badly want to use these both all the time. But they are kind of a pain in the butt to get on. The color payoff is great, but I feel like my lips get a little abuse every time I put them on.
Maybe it's me, and frankly because I like the colors and staying power so much I'll keep using them, but if anyone has any recommendations for a smoother application -- I'm all ears!
Good, but liquid Bioderma is better
I've been using Bioderma Sensibio micellar water for about 2 years now. When I went to France last year I saw these wipes at a pharmacy and got a pack for kicks.
While I didn't love them then, I still order them from Beautylish. Why?
Because sometimes it's just easier to use a wipe than cotton pads when you just want to crawl in bed at the end of a long day.
As a point of reference, I wear primer, liquid foundation, and a setting powder on my face. On my eyes, always mascara. Most days shadow and eyeliner too. So there's a lot to take off at the end of the day.
These wipes don't hold a candle to Bioderma in its traditional state. They are not super saturated like most facial wipes, which is what I think most people have a problem with.
Personally, I take my Bioderma bottle and pour some into the pack and store it upside down so the flap doesn't allow too much air in and dry it back out. This solution helps tremendously on the face makeup, and does a tad better on the eyes than the wipes on their own.
So when there are tons of great wipe options on the market, why do I stick with these? Because I feel like Bioderma is the most sensitive to my eyes, and at the end of the day that is what I find most important.
And as someone who is perpetually lazy about taking my makeup off at night, I take the "something is better than nothing" mentality and thats what these achieve on those really exhausting nights.
