Beautiful formula and Shade
I picked up this shade Monolith as it seemed unique to my collection and it is. I have a few Cirque colors and I love their line since they offer a lot of different colors with various finishes. As far as multi chromes go, this is a beautiful one and I am looking at some others in this collection. This shade has a greyish/green base, with a magenta shift. Quite lovely.
Beautiful and Soft
As an avid Fude lover and collector I couldn’t resist adding this to my ever growing family of brushes. The porcelain is gorgeous along with the tribute and story. The brush head and quality is surprisingly very good and soft for the price. I have drier skin that is relatively sensitive. I am rather picky and discriminatory when it comes to the softness of my brush heads as I prefer squirrel, but this is very nice. I am more than pleased with this lovely kabuki and I recommend it to anyone and everyone who is interested in acquiring a wonderful brush.
Excellent Product!
So I have somewhat sensitive, dry skin. I am 41 years of age and for most of my life I haven't had any issues with acne at all. I do deal with the occasional breakout. I can be reactive to products and makeup however, since my skin is sensitive, even hair products can mess with my skin. I noticed as of late I have been dealing with some hormonal acne and some weird skin issues. I don't know what the heck is going on, but it's been agitating to say the least.
I was using this bar for a while as my usual cleanser, when it finished up I moved on to something else. While using a different face cleanser, it wasn't helping with my new acne issues at all. I had a backup of this bar and decided to start using it again to see if it would help with my recent breakouts. In two days... my face is clear and back to normal. I didn't change anything else in my skincare routine, just this. I loved this bar before, but love it even more now and am convinced this helped my skin immensely. I HIGHLY recommend giving it a shot. Also, it doesn't dry out my skin.
Exquisite!
I have quite a few of Wayne’s brushes along with many many other fude ranging from Koyudo, Chikuhodo, Hakuhodo, Bisyodo, Sonia G. and the list goes on. I adore my varied types of squirrel brushes. I have two of Wayne’s airbrushes and used them for setting the under eye (this has replaced them for that task). I ordered this brush just recently and I shouldn’t have waited so long. It is superb. The airy design makes it ideal for setting the under eye area. It is supremely soft and the tapered wispy design picks up just enough product and is quite delicate for the eye area, while still dispensing enough product and maintaining structure.
Obviously this is a multipurpose brush, it can be used for a light dusting of powder, highlight, sheer wash of color across the lid (for larger eyes). It has a unique shape and the handle is beautiful. I appreciate the nod to calligraphy heritage. You truly feel like you are holding a piece of art and painting your face in a way. I love this brush and will certainly be ordering it’s smaller sister. I also ordered the saikoho goat brush in the same style and size of this brush as it can be used with different product types. It too is wonderful and quite soft as saikoho goat should be. If you are looking at these brushes you will not regret their purchase. They are unique in their design, beautifully crafted and well thought out with intention in mind. Well done Wayne!
Lovely
This brush packs a punch when it comes to distributing pigment on the lower lash-line. It is very soft yet firm enough to deposit color well and blend out efficiently. When I come across brushes that perform well, as this one does, I tend to want a backup.
Not for me
Koh Gen Do has lovely products and I love their Aqua Foundation, it’s a staple product in my makeup collection. Unfortunately this product isn’t right for me. I have darker circles under my eyes and this doesn’t layer well over a corrector. I was hoping the peachier shades could work as a corrector by themselves so I wouldn’t have to layer, but they aren’t pigmented enough for me. Otherwise the texture is quite nice for a natural finish. If you need medium or light coverage you would like this concealer. Give it a try if you don’t deal with deeper darker under eye pigmentation. Too bad, the creamy light consistency is quite nice and dries down to a natural finish.
Addicted to Wayne Goss Brushes!
Wonderful brush and very soft. Disperses shadows and deposits color beautifully. I prefer white goat hair brushes to blue squirrel for eye shadow brushes. They tend to blend out product more efficiently. However, blue squirrel brushes are often softer than white goat hair. All this being said...this brush is extremely soft AND blends well so you get the best of both worlds. I have many Wayne Goss brushes along with Hakuhodo and Chikuhodo brushes. Wayne Goss does an extraordinary job with the craftsmanship and quality assurance of his product. You can't go wrong. I will be adding more of his new brushes to my collection.
So Many Compliments
This is a beautiful bright red and the formula was amazingly good. I did layer this over unicorn blood which gave it a deeper hue. The night I wore this out I was stopped and asked by several people what I was wearing on my lips. I felt like a Jeffree Star spokesperson haha. The next couple of days my lips did suffer from feeling very dry and I needed to make sure and treat them with very hydrating balm. But, this is liquid lipstick and pretty much all formulas do that to me, I have somewhat sensitive lips.
WOW!
I have many different brushes ranging from high end to low end. Chanel, Hakuhodo, MAC, MUFE, real techniques etc. this was my first Wayne Goss purchase and it is phenomenal for setting under eye concealer. I was having issues with a cakey appearance. Even after hydrating and using a hydrating concealer the setting powder just didn't look right under my eyes. However, after using this brush to apply the setting powder it was... Perfect! I also used the brush for contouring. Very precise application of product. I look forward to purchasing more brushes from this line. I highly recommend brush 02.
