Beauty Product Reviews
I would give it ten stars if I could
This is my third Wayne Goss eyeshadow palette. It's also my favourite. I was hoping he would make one with these sorts of colours because they go so well with my green eyes. I cannot say enough good things about the quality of the shadows and the tones are just luscious. It's amazing how much product you get but you know, it's very likely I'll use this right to the bottom of the pan. They are that good. I also got the two new eye pencils and I'm starting to get the hang of using them. They are great but I'm not experienced with doing eyeliner. However they are very forgiving in the hands of an amateur!
Lovely lipstick
This one is pretty dark, contrasting with my neutral light beige complexion, but I like the drama especially since the summer is over. I can also combine it with other Wayne Goss lipsticks to change it up. I now have five in my collection! I wish I had them all.
My perfect nude
This is my new go-to lipstick for a neutral look. It's got deep enough colour that I feel like my makeup looks well-balanced, if you know what I mean. I should have bought two of them so I could have one at home and one in my purse.
Good product
I wasn't sure about these so I phoned to ask what size they are. They are about four inches in diameter and great for applying loose face powder except they are a bit thick and stiff. I'd prefer something a little more flexible. They are nice and soft and fluffy though.
Even better than I imagined
I've been watching Wayne's YouTube channel for years and even though I have way too much makeup, I just HAD to have Wayne's palettes. I have both of them and I love them both. I watched his videos for ideas on how to apply them and I couldn't be happier. They are large but I know I'm going to use these babies right up, leaving my old palettes lonely in my drawer. With Wayne's brushes, I feel like a professional! I'm daring to hope that he might be working on even more colours--purples and plums and pink would be awesome too.
Adore this
I bought two, then five more, and then three more so I now have a wonderful collection of ten of these lipsticks. They are my absolute favourite lipsticks I've ever had. Every morning I eagerly determine which one will be the best with my clothes. I made a little swatch card with the names and little swipes of the colours to help me find the right one quicker. I love all of them. The past two days I've been wearing Bond Girl and I find it a beautiful nude for me--my lips but better and more defined. I don't do very pale lips very nicely, but this one has enough colour to make me look alive. I love the way it goes on and the texture and creamy feel even hours later. These lipsticks stay put, and if I'm careful, they don't even come off when I'm eating. Beautiful beautiful products. I spent a fortune on these, more than I've ever done before (ten lipsticks!) but I don't regret a dollar spent on them. I'll use them to the bottom and wish I had bought duplicates, I'm sure.
Best powder I can imagine
After using other Charlotte Tilbury products and being blown away by the quality, I decided to try the pressed powder. My face gets oily and my foundation breaks up partway through the day. Not with this powder. A light brush of it with my makeup in the morning, and I'm still looking fresh in the evening, even when I look in my unforgiving magnifying mirror. This is hands down the best powder I've ever used. It looks natural on my skin and it couldn't be easier to apply with my big fluffy Wayne Goss brush. I'm convinced this will be a staple product for me.
Not as great as I expected
I applied this over my usual moisturizer and it quickly separated and rolled off my face as I blended it in. Since then, I have been using it on a bare face and it's better, but it's nothing special compared to other foundations I tried. I will not be repurchasing but I'll probably use this up. I'm not keen on the applicator. You take the cap off and there's a pump, but I have to pump numerous times and then SPLATCH a bunch comes out and flies across my dressing table, so far missing my clothes thank goodness. I have to be very careful to catch the foundation in my hand. Not ideal.
Gorgeous
This lipstick is beyond beautiful. It's such a sophisticated shade--it's hard to describe. It gives me lovely colour on my lips but it doesn't take away from the rest of my makeup. It's gives my face a perfect balance, if you can understand that. It's a beautiful colour, but it doesn't look like my mouth is all about colour like some lipsticks. So hard to describe. It's gorgeous--just buy it!
Wow! Just WOW!
I have a couple of CT palettes that have neutral eyeshadow, blush, bronzer and highlight all in one and I just adore them. I thought I would branch out a bit and get some different eye shadows and it was so hard to choose. I chose well when I picked The Dolce Vita. I use the light one as a highlighter, but in fact today I'm using it as an all-over colour with a touch of the dark brown to contour the crease. I have worn each of the three coloured ones as individual shadows on the lid and each one is so gorgeous I can hardly stand it. I haven't tried mixing them together yet, because I'm having too much fun using them individually. The formula is beautiful, they last all day, and I look very nice with them on. I couldn't be more thrilled.
