Mixed feelings about this

So I originally bought this foundation in 2011 and I really loved it. It gave such a natural finish and I didn't even have to powder it. It lasted long enough on my skin and was light. After I used up the first bottle I didn't repurchase it straight away as I wanted to try more foundations. In 2013 for some odd reason I repurchased it. The colour was perfect but it seemed as though the formula had changed, either that or my skin. It didn't dry matte on my skin anymore so I had to powder it. I also found that it had horrendous staying power even with a primer and powder. It clings to dry patches of there is any and it sits in the pores around my nose. I was really disappointed with this the second time after the first time trying it was so good.

A BRILLIANT BUY

So does this foundation actually do what is claims? Almost. Firstly the packaging is a lot nicer than the original one,it is in a glass bottle with the signature bourjous colours. When applying the foundation is blends out well even with the odd dry patch. It does look very natural and it's adds a lot of radiance to the skin. It has more of a semi-matte finish than dewy which I find better for my skin as it's oily.

However Bourjois claim that this foundation lasts 16hours plus. It doesn't last nearly as long as that. For me if I use a primer and powder with the foundation I could get about 7 hours wear( with it still looking acceptable).

The foundation has a lot of colours, but if you are very pale then I don't think there would be a colour for you. The shades are also yellow undertones which is a good change compared to most foundations.

When I first got this foundation I didn't really enjoy it, however now I've been through 2 bottles of it already. Ive found no other foundation that looks so natural and gives good coverage without looking cakey.

A MUST HAVE PALETTE

Without a doubt one of the best eyeshadow palettes I've ever bought! I am a big makeup collector and out of my many eyeshadow palettes I would repurchase this time and time again. The palette has two matte colours which are so perfect as they are warm browns. It works for daytime looks and evening looks as most of the colours and light and warm with a few of them being much richer darker colours. I find that with this palette the eye looks are endless. As expected from Urban Decay the shadows are extremely pigmented.

I don't think anyone could be disappointed with this palette. It also comes with a brush.

The few downsides: the outer packaging is suede (I think) and it means that the palette gets quite dirty. Also the brush that comes with it is a placer brush which in my opinion is good but it would be better if it was a blending brush.

Overall a brilliant buy, if there is someone who loves makeup and doesn't have this in their collection I would strongly advise buying it! Another huge bonus is that Urban Decay all 100% cruelty free!
