Beauty Product Reviews

So glad I ordered this color

Texture was smooth and the color was true to description. My fav out of the 3 products I ordered from this launch.

Creamy but color does not look deep brown pink

The texture is good, glides easily on the lips and the color is alright. Based on the description I wouldn't say this meets the expectation of deep brown pink. From tube it looks deep brown pink but Looks more deep brown peach on my lips. The size and is just nice and the design is minimalist. However for the price point I do expect a wow feeling. It doesn't feel like cheap plastic but I know it's plastic.

The emboss words inside the lipstick was a nice touch though.

Reminds me of The Body Shop lip liner

I'm disappointed. The lip liner chipped a little while I was applying. But that's fine. It smells very strongly of children color pencils. The overall design looks very oem. The only good thing was the color matches my lip like a MLBB.

WG never fails

A huge fan of WG soft brushes, trying to collect all of them but tbh, i dont need all of them. So I go for multi purpose brush like this Air Brush. I like the airy, subtle flush it brings when I use it on blusher and highlighter. Works on my combination skin since anything harsh immediately look oily. Also, it's so so ao soft!

Pigment disappointing

The colors looked really gorgeous off the pan but it does not translate well on to the lids. Even with eyeshadow base, the color is probably only 60% of the actual color. And then, it's patchy and a lot a lot alot of fall out. Very disappointing.

Soft like kitten

A big fan of WG Brushes. They are so soft. Decided to grab this brush after I realised I don't have a medium size brush for blush and highlight from his Anniversary 2 set. As the name suggested, the blush and highlight application is so airy and natural. In Singapore the weather is pretty humid so I rock natural looks a lot. This pick up enough amount on the strongest blush color I had, UD's bang blush. Really help to create a softer wash.

Perfect Set!

So I bought the Beautylish x CHIKUHODO set last year, while I was won over by the quality of the brushes, I was super disappointed with the make pouch. This collection, is beautiful beyond my dreams. First it is red, my favorite color. Second, the pouch is a major upgrade from last year. when I first see it, it reminds me of the elegant Kimonos that the Jap wear during occasions. It looked matt black on the outside, but opulent gold and black trimmings on the inside! It also has a separate section for makeup! So wonderful! All my comments made last year seemed to take into consideration this time. Third, the quality of the Saikoho goat hair, is so fluffy! Can't wait to stroke them!!!

It's almost perfect, but of course there is always room for improvement. I love the brushes, don't get me wrong. But if the set contains a flat shader brush instead of the lip brush, it will be perfect! 2015 was almost perfect, but it lack a foundation brush and crappy pouch. 2016 was near perfect but it didn't have a firmer flat shader.

Looking forward to 2017 collection already.

Dome shaped brush good for blending concealer and all over shadow.

I got a shock when I received the brush, it is huge for an eyeshadow brush. On the website, the function of this brush was: "controlled application and pristine blending. Extends pigment into the perfect cat eye or smoldering smokey eye." Well, I don't have that much eye socket area to blend a cat eye the size of tennis ball. I was expecting half the size of it, like a 30% larger 217 brush. However, like most reviews mentioned here, it works well for blending concealer, without settling into lines. Less 1 star for the size. If it was smaller, it would receive 5 starts.

a fluffy bunny!

you know that feeling when you rub your face on a fluffy bunny? soft, cottony, and gentle. That's my first thought, except that this brush blends your face like a dream. I used this for blending my contour(should get a black one, bunny looks like it rolled in the mud), lovely results. I also used it to set loose powder, big = fast! And it rolls over quickly when I do extra powdering under my eyes and on my forehead. WG doesn't go gone wrong with his brushes! Awesome!

Not scratchy at all!

I love love love WG brushes. Bought the Anniversary Set and Brow Set, still feel like a couple of brushes are not in squad to create more looks. So I bought Brush 18, since I don't have a paddle brush from WG. I checked a lot of review, and most of them mentioned it scratches. I was lucky, mine doesn't feel scratchy at all, or either that my lids have been through hell (which they kinda did). The colour packed on well, and even my chalky eyeshadow doesn't fall out as much. Works well for layering cream product too!!!!!
