glides on smoothly. stays on all day
I love this liner for my waterline underneath my eyes! I'm very particular, in that I will only use a gel or liquid liner on my top and a pencil type applicator on the bottom. Although I do use a pencil to fill in the upper lash line on the "minimal makeup" days. This liner glides on super smoothly without tugging or causing my eyes to water like some pencils can. The staying power is really good too, considering I was jumping around in a mosh pit last night and it never smudged, even when I was getting sweaty. I haven't had to re-apply either and the fact that it doesn't leave me looking like a raccoon is a plus. I had been looking for something to replace my Clinique Quickliner (which in all honesty, is not that good, kinda tugs and staying power has gotten worse over the years) and I think this will do the job nicely!
easy to use. stays on all day
I am a true eyeliner fiend....put me on an island and all I need in this life is my Aquaphor (for them chapped lips) and black eyeliner. Anna Sui makes it easy in this gel eyeliner that comes in a pen with a twist applicator. And hooray! It dispenses out of a slanted tip applicator, so it makes winging liner a breeze. The color is a true deep black and staying power is great and it never flakes or budges on me once it's on. I took off half a star because somehow a bit always seems to dispense out of the applicator even when I'm not using it (this really only happens if I go a day without using it) but it's nothing that bothers me too much. Means one less step aka twisting the applicator for me to do when I'm putting my face on!
the best in cleansing waters
I've been a huge fan of cleansing waters for a super long time now, the first being the Caudalie Cleansing Water. While that worked well, I didn't realize what a difference the Bioderma was vs Caudalie's. Bioderma literally takes off EVERYTHING without leaving my skin feeling stripped or dehydrated and is super gentle. It makes me skin feel clean in a way the Caudalie was somewhat lacking. The bottle is very easy to use and it picks up all the residue that is left on my face. You can of course, just use without a regular facial cleanser, but since I love my routine, I use this to remove makeup then cleanse and moisturize after. I'm going to try using this to clean the fabric of the lining of my motorcycle helmet, since it's got foundation residue all over it, lol!
perfect as a foundation primer
I love this cream! It's hydrating, but not to the point where it makes my combo skin super oily and it feels perfect once you apply it. I've been using it as a foundation primer and it really helps to allow makeup to last long all day and apply effortlessly. It absorbs very quickly into the skin and provides a light dewy (but not too dewy) finish. I'm considering giving this as a baby gift since it's original use was as a diaper rash cream! A little goes a long way too, so I can't imagine seeing myself run out of this anytime soon.
excellent color pay off. beautiful colors
I'll admit, I used to detest Too Faced shadows. The pigment was never quite there and they always seemed to crease on me or leave a shimmery mess everywhere. That is, until I met this palette. And now? I'm a convert! I find myself reaching for this on the daily, even more so than the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. The pigmentation is very true to color and never budges throughout the day. They all blend super effortlessly and you can definitely create a huge spectrum of looks with this palette. Whatever TF did to change their eyeshadow formulas from the last time I used them (which was in 2009), it clearly working!!
Luxury in a jar!
So I love putting weird off color masks on my face (like when I tried the Boscia Black Mask, that was so much fun to peel off!), so this one was equally as fun. I was instructed not to cleanse my face prior, as this will also cleanse my face at the same time. SAY WHAT!?!? I'm so use to cleansing before any mask, that it took me a second to remember not to cleanse prior. It's similar to the old fashioned cold creams my grandma used to use in that you slather it on, leave it on for maybe 15 minutes, then remove with a washcloth (not straight up water) with hot water. BOOM! Super smooth skin that feels hydrated, silky, and just straight up luxurious. I loveeeee the smell too, it smells natural in an earthy way and I like thinking to myself, "I have mud on my face" teehee. Can't wait to try more of the Omorovicza line!
Magic in a tub
Oooo Charlotte, why you gotta come out with a lip product knowing I'm always on the hunt for the next great lip balm!?!! This balm has a good amount of "slip" to it - I very much hate applying products only to not be able to feel it on my lips (it makes me crazy). It stays on pretty well without eating or drinking but most importantly, doesn't dry out my lips like some sugar lip treatments I have tried in the past. The smell isn't that strong for me and I'm pretty sensitive these days to scents. To me it smells more like honey, like the Lip Love scrub she has. I'm not sure about helping with lines and wrinkles because I luckily don't have those with my lips yet. But in terms of chapping and dryness, this def helps with that so that is a big plus in my book!!!
if you love the smell of honey
And I do love the smell of honey, so the scent of this lip scrub makes me so happy every time I apply it! (Honey, cream, and coconut are just a few of my favorite words, in case you wanted to know) The scrub part feels gentle, but effective, and not as gritty as the Fresh Brown Sugar Lip Scrub, which actually DRIED my lips out >__< This scrub actually feels kind of balmy and hydrating when you apply it, like it's adding an extra moisture barrier to the lips, which I need prior to applying anything because I'm often like the Sahara desert on my lips.
smells like coconuts or a day at the beach
I. Love. Salt. Sprays!!! Believe me, every time I see a new one at the store, I HAVE to pick it up and look at it then hem and haw whether I want another one or not. Most of the time I have pretty good self discipline, but I do love looking at them. NYM is an affordable hair care line. Although this spray is the only product from them I've tried to date, I like it a lot. It smells great (like coconuts) and comes in a super easy spray bottle which makes application easy. You get a lot of product for your buck and it leaves my hair with some slight waves. I usually apply this in the morning after my Sexy Hair Volumizing Powder, spritz this all over, then tie my hair in a bun while I get ready for the day. Voila! Sexy, not crunchy waves and my hair smells uhhhhmazinnnggg.
smells divine. fast absorbing.
Ok, so bear in mind my review is for the OLD Replenishing Night Oil, not the newer formulation, which isn't as good as the new. The old version had kukui and a few other great oils that they totally removed from the new one. Very disappointing. But the old version smelled great, was lightweight and absorbing, and was just a super joy to apply at night. I love oils on my face and this was definitely a keeper....until the formulation changed. The new one doesn't have quite the anti-aging properties (I feel) like the old version. Oh Nude! Bring me back the old one!
