EASY TO APPLY. HIGHLY PIGMENTED. LONG LASTING.

I'm super stoked that OCC decided to change the packing of their Lip Tars! While I understand the tubes made it much easier for MUA's to easily mix colors together to either create a custom shade or create different colors of the color wheel, it was also tricky for me keeping a lip brush on hand during the day for application. Now with the doe foot applicator, re-application is a breeze.

The formula to me feels slightly drier going on than Kat Von D and not as loose as the Jeffree Star (disclaimer: I am a HUGE fan of both KVD and JSC as well). That said, I actually really like the drier feeling when I apply because it allows me a lot more control. Which truly, is what you need when you are applying something so highly pigmented such as these! The formula is definitely long lasting, same as it was in the tube form but I feel like it lasts longer for some reason in the tube applicator. Perhaps the form of application?

I've eaten and drank with Queen on (a bright neon coral pink matte) with no weirdness on the lips after you eat and drink. For you liquid lipstick lovers out there, you are most certainly acquainted with what I speak of. This has been my go-to when I go out at night because I know I can spend the whole night without worrying about whether lipstick has transferred on my face or if I need to touch up. Also have never really experienced any dry chapped lips as a result of the Lip Tars and that is a huge bonus to me

SMELLS LIKE HEAVEN. SINKS IN QUICK. NOT GREASY

Like Morgan H, I am also a tough critic when it comes to body oils. I like something that is very hydrating but doesn't leave me feeling greasy or transfer to clothes either. I don't want to feel like I slather myself in Crisco for hours afterwards! My other criteria is that it can't have any bad or filler ingredients in it either. Body oil should be pure, you know?

I'm a huge fan of May's other products in her line ie Honey Mud, Problem Solver, Clean Dirt, Youth Dew, so obviously the next step was trying The Good Stuff. Holy wow does it smell good, like a very tantalizing scent of cocoa and sunshine. The sunshine part reflects in that the body oil also leaves an ever so subtle gold shimmer on the skin, but nothing that is extremely J-Lo bright. Just lovely, healthy looking skin.

I've used this in my hair when I'm too lazy to melt my monoi oil for my hair as a pre oil treatment before showering (my other #1 for body oils thanks to my upbringing in Polynesian dancing) and this has really worked wonders on the one half of my hair that is damaged and dry due to bleaching. And also, if your significant other wants to be nice and give you a massage, this works really great too. I will say that I use this on slightly damp skin right out of the shower to help the oil glide on my skin with much more ease and it also allows you to actually use less product too. It might be a bit pricey as far as body oils go, but the way I see it, it will last you quite a long time, especially if you apply to damp skin! Plus I smell great afterwards ;)

SOFTENS CHAPPED LIPS!

Ahh Lucas Papaw, a product that feels like it's literally been around forever. I love that you can get it in tube form or a tub form. Fun fact: When I was younger, I used to tote around a large jar of Vaseline around the house with me because I can never be without lip balm. It is known. Now I just tote around a large tub of Lucas Papaw around the house with me =P

Lucas Papaw keeps my lips feeling moisturized without feeling too greasy and has just the right amount of slip to it as well. It helps keeps things flake free and I like to use it as a base prior to any lipstick application as well. Aquaphor is still my #1 healing ointment for my often chapped lips but Lucas Papaw, you do a mighty fine job too!!

LARGE. MOISTURIZING. SINKS IN QUICK

So the first product of Embryolisse that I have tried was their Lait-Crème Concentré. I love the way that product feels on my skin and while my skin isn't uber sensitive, I appreciate that it can be used for even sensitive types. Being that I loved that product so much, I was on the hunt for a new everyday body lotion that I could use quickly in the morning (I tend to get up at the last moment), so I needed something that was quick.

Enter the Lait-Crème Fluide. It's lightweight yet moisturizing, feels hydrating, sinks in the skin in barely no time at all, comes in a HUGE bottle and with a PUMP. Considering it takes me less than a minute to lotion up during my oh so precious morning routine, this is a godsend. I also suffer from slight chicken skin aka keratosis pilaris on my arms and legs and this helps keep it softened and less bumpy. Mine isn't as bad as it was when I was younger but I still like to use products that won't aggravate it either.

While I still use some trusy body butters that I love, this lotion is definitely a keeper for the days when I need something that applies fast but that I know will do the job and do it well!

SMELLS GREAT. CLEANS GREAT. NATURAL

Can you be in love with a shampoo? Can you? I thought I was happy with my baby shampoo for my natural haired brushes but when we started carrying Clean Apothecary, I thought, well, the ingredient list seems pretty good and why not.

SO glad I did. Not only am in love with the grapefruit scent, it cleans my brushes incredibly well and leaves them even softer than before. How is this even possible!!? And the fact that I'm not using any stripping or harsh ingredients for my brushes assures me that the care I'm providing my brushes with is stellar and they will last me quite a long time.

To clean them, first I went my brush in a bit of water (be sure not to get water in the ferrule, as this can loosen the glue in the brush head), then swirl the brush in the shampoo. Next, I slightly dampen my palm and swirl the brush in the palm of my hand until it suds up, working the soap into the hairs to remove all the residue and makeup from the hairs. Then I rinse the hairs in a slow stream of water, gently squeeze out the excess and lay flat on a cloth to dry. That's it! Easy peasy and it gets everything out so clean and fresh.

Thank you Clean for creating a product with such a great ingredient list. It makes me feel good to know that I'm using non harmful ingredients with my brushes and that I know exactly what went into the shampoo to best keep everything clean. Successfully made me a convert from my baby shampoo!

pitch black. fine point. easy to use.

So I'm a devoted liner junkie to the Anna Sui Gel Eyeliner and the last time I used a liquid liner pen was the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner (Which I was devoted to for a long time prior as well). But the Ardency Inn one, whew! This one works just as great as the KVD one if not better. The KVD one I felt would get a little "loose" in the tip after a while but this one is still firm and holding strong. The color is a rich black, dries quickly, and is so easy to use and control, that making a winged eye is a cinch. I love the slim feel of the liner pen too and it's great to quickly throw in your makeup bag.

While I do toggle between this and my Anna Sui, I think I've found a new HG liquid liner to keep in my makeup box all the time!

like happy hour sans the alcohol

Sometimes I'm hesitant about lip scrubs because it seems like I could just make my own (and I could, truly, there are a bunch of recipes out there but I'm also lazy) so when Jeffree released these, I knew I had to get one. Plus, the price point is just right, $12 for a large tub that is also edible with some super intriguing flavors? SIGN. ME. UP!

I was between Spearmint and Mojito because I wanted something a little zesty and decided to go for Mojito. I'm so glad I did because it not only smells delicious, it tastes great too should you *accidentally* get a little bit in your mouth. The sugar particles are just right, not too big nor too large and they aren't scratchy at all so I don't feel like my mouth is getting attacked by glass. I've used a few scrubs in the past, Fresh Brown Sugar to be exact and for some weird reason, I always felt like that one either dried my lips out or caused them to be chapped more.

Not with Jeffrees, I'll often remove all my lipstick from my work day with Bioderma, then go in with the sugar scrub, and then reapply my color before going out for the night if it's a Friday. It leaves the lips soft without any dry patches or chapped patches. The tub is hefty as well and has a good weight on it and I like the the way it feels. It's pretty large (like most of JS's products) and will definitely last me for quite a long time!

luminous. highlighter. shine bright like a diamond

Whoa okay so this is a blush AND gives that highlighted look, meaning I don't have to use two different products layered on top of each other!?!? I decided to go a bit out of my comfort zone and go for Blushed Copper, which is a really lovely warm copper with rose gold tones. (My zone is usually a warm peachy shade with pink or rose undertones). But this, my gosh, it just looks STUNNING on. It's pretty highly pigmented so you don't need to swipe much to receive color payoff but it blends really well too. It's definitely got that luminizing finish while still giving your cheeks just the prettiest blush color too. I just adore Becca packaging, super compact and can be thrown into my makeup bag with ease and has a handy dandy mirror too. For reference, I'm a MAC NC30, a 42 in Natasha Denona, and a good match in the KO series in RCMA.

I've got my eye on Snapdragon next....being that my last blush purchase was the Becca Shimmer Beach Tint Shimmer Souffle in Lychee/Opal, I guess I know who my new go to for blush is going to be!!

Cheap, quick, easy to use!

I'm a liquid eyeliner FIEND and while I am devoted to my Anna Sui Gel Eyeliner, I like to have a secondary eyeliner in which I can do a super quick cat eye (it takes a bit more time for me with the Anna Sui). I usually line my eyes with my Anna Sui then add the cat eye with my ELF liner. The brush makes it super fast and easy to flick out and make even, every single time.

I will say, that it doesn't quite last all day and the black isn't as rich black as I would want it to be but it still does a solid job. Touch ups are definitely needed with this eyeliner if I do use it on my entire top eyelid but it's so cheap that it's good to have on hand should I run out of liner in a pinch!

smells like chocolate. gives skin a glowing look

One of my favorite words in the whole world is HONEY. I think it just conjures up something warm, delicious, sticky, and just comforting and the smell and not only the medicinal properties but beauty properties that go with it are amazing. It's definitely one of those ancient beauty ingredients that have been used FOREVER and that totally fascinates me!

The Honey Mud can be used as both a cleanser and a face mask although I personally use it only as a face mask. It's a bit sticky for my personal taste as a cleanser. But as a mask, it just glides on so smoothly, feels really comfortable and while it never exactly dries down, it's just a super luxurious way to end my night. The mask is basically a mix of honey, clay, plant oils, and anti-bacterial ingredients like collodial silver, which I had never tried before!

When I use this mask, my skin just looks much more glowy and soft and I had some blemishes on my skin this week and this helped to tone them down and take away the redness. The texture is very thick and viscous, hence, the name, and smells like a delicious chocolate bar. A little definitely goes a long way, you don't need much! So I do anticipate the jar, while a bit pricey, will last me for quite a while.

This was my first experience with one of May's products and it just makes me that much more excited to try the rest of her line!
