Beauty Product Reviews
Tames and repairs dry, damaged hair.
I use a LOT of heat on my hair and dye it very frequently. I found Cantu one day while grocery shopping and I can't get enough of it. I apply it after my showers (combing a good sized gob through damp hair), wrap my hair in a towel and blowdry once my hair's about 75% dry. It's helped the texture of my hair tremendously and repaired my fried and frazzled locks. Love this stuff. It doesn't make my hair greasy or oily. Smells great too!
Copper/Rust/Bronze = Beautiful for blue eyes.
Favorite trio, perfect pigment and blend like a dream. I love NYX, they're probably my favorite brand for shadow not only because they make great products but because they're so very affordable. This particular swatch makes my eyes POP! Photo is of shadow without primer/liner/mascara, pic's also about 5 years old as NYX was my go-to brand throughout high school.
Has potential, but not for me.
When I stumbled upon Revlon's ColorStay foundation I was pretty excited to try it out considering I live in a very humid/rainy area. I wanted something waterproof on both sides, which it DOES deliver. However, it leaves my face looking flaky and dry as a desert. Doesn't mix at all if I have moisturizer on. Also very -very- difficult to build with, which is confusing to me because I've seen SO many reviews where girls love it. Maybe my store had a bad batch? I've applied it with foundation & concealer brushes as well as sponges to no avail. Setting it with powder doesn't quite make anything better either. This product was not for me, love Revlon otherwise.
Good glittery lipglosses.
My mom sent me a huge box of ELF products in the mail for my birthday and I was pleasantly surprised by these bad boys. I -love- glitter glosses but it's very hard to find one that won't make my lips feel itchy or grainy. These are very smooth, flavorless and the scent is very light. I love these, I just wish there was more product in the tube. :)
