Beauty Product Reviews | Page 2
Waited with anticipation, been using it for a week now and have read lots of reviews. All in all, for me, 4 1/2 stars. The cream shadows are amazing, great pigmentation, so blendable and integrate-able with the metallic shades. The duo chromes work best applied first, or on top of a lighter (steered out) application of the cream shadow used as a transition shade. Using a heavy application of the cream shadow first seems to reduce what I look for in a duo chrome - it reduces the iridescence some, though still providing beautiful colors. The crystal shadows are beautiful, but fallout is a problem, though easily fixed using Too Faced Shadow Glitter Glue Eye Shadow Primer. Fallout is common with these kinds of shadows. The combination - row, column and diagonal are great - never leaves me with a "what to next" question and putting the shadows together in a quad also provides great combinations. The amount of product for the price is reasonable.
OMG - amazing
Have been on the hunt for the perfect foundation brush. I have a collection of "good enough" to almost perfect brushes, but saw a Beautylish review saying the Chikuhodo GSN-2 was great as a liquid foundation brush, even though not intended to be used that way. It is superb as a foundation brush -- application is flawless, even and perfect -- no shedding from this densely packed brush. What is equally amazing is the fact that the brush does not appear to collect or absorb much product. I've been using the Artis Fluenta oval brush (6 and 8) to apply foundation, but the Chikuhodo GSN-2 surpasses the Artis brushes in applying foundation. I'm already planning to purchase a back up. If you're looking for a flawless foundation brush, this is the one!
New Fav
Radiant subtle glow is how I'd describe the finish. It's a foundation unlike any others - surprisingly thicker and a bit tackier than anything I'd used before, but blends amazingly well (using a beauty blender or Artis foundation brush), dies and sets without tackiness and yields medium coverage and dewy finish that is unmatched by my other favorites (Clé de Peau, Armani). Great staying power -- even on long 8+ hour flights, hardly a need for touching up. More than met expectations.
moisturizing and perfect with eye makeup
My expectations were high, and there was absolutely no disappointment. Mila Moursi Eye Contour Cream is amazing -- a light weight, soothing, moisturizing, instantly absorbing and no pilling when using eye makeup over it. Comes in an airtight tube with metal applicator. Metal applicator makes for a cooling and very soothing application, which reduces early morning puffiness. Eyeshadows and under eye concealer apply perfectly with no pilling, and no settling into fine lines. Also perfect for sensitive eyes. A great addition to a great line of skin care products.
Mila Moursi -- I heard the hype, read the reviews and took the plunge and purchase many of the products. I started with the cleansing milk, but it wasn't perfect with my clarisonic. The foam is amazing, gentle, removes even the most stubborn and resistant remnant of makeup with ease, leaving my skin thoroughly cleansed withou harsh or drying effects. Though this is focused on the cleansing foam, the Mila Moursi line has changed my skin -- friends and strangers asking what I am doing and my recommended facialist-- and it is Mila Moursi from Beautylish -- so hooked, I ordered backups of the foam, as well as other products. This comes from a faithful user of medical grade skin care products -- they work, but not like Mila Moursi!
