one of my favorite eyeshadows
I bought champagne toast because I thought it would be a very natural looking color for when I wanted to do a natural look. It isn't. It's a more pink color than the name would lead you to believe. I still love it though. It wears for forever. I wore this to school several times and I would put it on around 6:30 and it would still be perfect at 3:12(when our school lets out). I also fell asleep with this on once so I wore it from 6:30 am to 9 am the next day and when i woke up it was still perfect. I had no creasing. I love it. The only thing that stinks is that the cap fell off of mine in my makeup bag and it has dried out. So make sure you get the cap secure!! So I'm going to have to repurchase it soon.
Wouldn't even give it one star
I was so excited about this when I first heard about it. I have combination skin and my dry areas are the outer parts of my face and on my upper lip strangely. I heard from a few friends with the same issue and even looked at some reviews from youtube that said that they really loved it. So I decided to give it a try. It's not worth it at all. First of all I'm very pale so i grabbed the lightest shade because I'm always the lightest shade and it's at least three shades too dark and orange. The second thing is it accentuated my dry patches. It's supposed to be the version for people with combination to dry skin but it makes dry patches worse. I have acne prone skin as well because I have rosacea on my cheeks and this did not cover the problem areas even when I was experimenting with the coverage. It also did not cover any of my redness at all. It's also very hard to get an even coverage. I tried so many different ways of applying this. I used three different brushes of mine, a dry sponge, a wet sponge, my fingers and none of them worked. Every single time i applied it my face looked splotchy. It also did not set. I decided to wear this out anyway and give it a real chance outside my bedroom... I shouldn't have. i applied it with a wet sponge and then set it with a powder. I went to put on my uniform for work and looked down to fix the collar and there was makeup all over it so I had to change shirts. I wore this to work and it wore off in 2 hours. It did not wear off pretty either. I had parts of my face that were covered and orange-ish and then there was my actual skin. It just did not work for me at all. I'm really dissappointed too. I really wanted to like it.
One of my favorites
Whenever I saw the ads for this I was very skeptical. I saw how gigantic the brush was and was sure that it wouldn't be able to reach my inner lashes very well because of the thick brush. But I watched a review made by Misschevious on YouTube and she said she really liked it. I decided that I would try it because she's never steered me wrong before. I'm glad I did. It has a very nice color and i found that if you apply it lightly you can still get very thick natural looking lashes on the days when you want a natural look. If you apply liberally you can get a very pretty dramatic look. My lashes were thicker and and longer. It does smudge under my eyes after about 8 hours of wear. If I curled my lashes before the extra curl would last about 2 or 3 hours and then it would fall to my natural curl. That, I could easily fix with a quick curl from my cheap eyelash curler and I noticed it lasted a while. I love this mascara.
I used to love it
This was my favorite mascara when I first started wearing makeup. It disn't really clump my lashes together and I did not apply very well when i started either. It was waterproof. I even had to buy a makeup remover in order to get it off because water and soap did not cut it. It did make my lashes look thicker but I don't really remember if they looked longer.
I liked it pretty well
I bought the classic ivory and I liked the color for when my skin was very pale. But I bought this close to the end of winter and during the beginning of the summer I got a little bit of a fan on my face... And a burn everywhere else. Lol but the color was a little to light after my tan. It didn't last very long on parts of my skin though. I have combination skin so I have dry patches on the outer parts of my skin and my t-zone and cheeks are oily. It lasted fine on the outer parts but only cheeks and t- zone it only lasted about 4 hours.
Isn't the best for me personally
I have always used carmex and last winter I busted my lip open and couldn't use it because it hurt the cut. I was told that Burt's bees was a very good chapstick that would moisturize and keep everything perfect. I bought one and it did ok. I don't really like the feel of it on my lips at all. It felt very thick and waxy. But I expected it to feel waxy because it's made out of bees wax. It didn't moisturize my lips at all bit it did lock in the moisture that was already there but I was hoping for extra moisture. I do use this quite a bit though during the winter. I put on a little not before my lipstick and it fills all the cracks and covers and flaky spot on my lips and makes them look great.
I like it for special occasions but... It's uncomfortable...
I really like the color that i bought. It's a very pretty kind of pinky nude color. On me it kinda looks like I muted out my lips but then applied a light pink gloss I think it's very pretty on my pale skin as well. I have full lips already but I enjoy the tingly feeling that plumping products deliver. I was disappointed when it came to this with this product. There is no tingle and I didn't really notice it plumping my lips at all. I don't like the feel of this gloss though. When you first put it on it's very thin and creamy and pleasant. But then it starts to change into a thick sticky gloss that felt awkward and uncomfortable.
My favorite highlight color
I bought this because I thought it would be good to use on the inner corner to brighten my eyes but it's a little too dull for that. But using it as a highlight it's amazing. I love to use lots of bright colors in my crease and a lot of the time they don't like to blend out very well. But if I put the majority of color on my brow and then blend that down almost into the crease it looks fantastic.
Love the product don't like the color I chose
I bought one of these in the color cupcake a little bit ago. I like the glossy finish. I don't like this color though. Cupcake is a very light pink color with some glitter in it. I like the sparkle of the glitter on my lips. I have very pigmented lips anyway so I don't know why I assumed that this color would show up on me but it doesn't. I suggest putting in a lipbalm before this if you have any dry skin in them because it will accentuate those patches.
Really like it
I have the one called peace. It has a sort of light shimmery gold and a dark shimmery brown. I love using this for an easy look for work or school. For school I use them dry because I don't want the colors to be very dark. I want something that defines my eyes with a subtle shimmer. For work I like to be a little more opaque do I use them wet and then the colors pop! The only thing I don't like about these is that whenever u have to use them wet I have to use a very small brush in order to control where the color is. A plus on using these wet is that since they're a baked shadow you can wet the actual eye shadow in the pan and it won't ruin it! :) I really like this eyeshadow duo.
They are a little difficult to apply though. If I decide to use this I have to make sure that I leave my foundation for last so that I can clean up fallout and around the edges of my eyes.
