Dissappointed

I was a Sephora quite a while ago and I decided to pick up a little “Sample” box that Tarte had released. This foundation came with the set. I was so excited to try it because at this time, I had very problematic skin and I could not find a foundation that gave me the results I wanted. I read many reviews that said that this foundation was truly full coverage and lasted all day and that it did not matter what skin type you have. I have to say that I disagree. I did not like this foundation and I really tried, and wanted, to like it. One thing I did like about this foundation was the colors. I was able to find my perfect match with this foundation. This is hard for me to do because I am naturally very pale and strangely, I have yellow/neutral undertones in my face. I also know that other people will be able to find their colors quite easily as well. I have combination skin and this foundation made my face look really shiny. I tried different powders and primers and the results were the same. I like demi matte and matte foundations so this disappointed me. However, that is usually not a deal breaker. If I like the coverage of a foundation, I will try to work with the finish of it. I do not think that people with oily skin would be able to use this foundation because of how dewy or glowy this foundation is. I also do not agree with the full coverage claim. I have never been able to achieve full coverage with this foundation. I tried applying with different brushes that I have, different cosmetic sponges, and even my fingers. I never got full coverage, which greatly disappointed me. Another downside is that this foundation is quite thick and feels very heavy on the skin. I tried it out first during the summer and it just felt like my skin was smothering under the makeup. I also tried it out during the winter and it was not much better.

Fantastic Primer

I received a sample of all of the Urban Decay primers with an order I placed through Sephora. I have tried every single one of them and I have to say that I love them. I tried these primers with all different all shadows that varied in quality. I was pleased to find that even my bad shadows look good when placed over these. My bad shadows did crease after several hours, which was disappointing. However, I expected this with shadows of lesser quality. My high quality shadows that I have tried have lasted over 10 hours and never creased. Another thing that I wanted to mention was that I have very sensitive skin and extremely sensitive eyes. These primers never irritated my eyelids or my actual eyes. This was something that I was very nervous about because I have had trouble with other primers giving me a rash and making my eyes really irritated.

Wanted my money back

I did not like this polish at all. I bought the "red" one. It is not red at all. It is actually a purple color, but the catalog says it is red. I got over the fact that it was not the red that I wanted, and gave it a shot any way because I paid quite a bit for it. Well, I was extremely disappointed. The only upsides that I can think of are that it is a matte polish and that it is opaque. However, it is impossible to do two coats to make sure that you got the entire nail. If you do try to do two coats, the dry polish will pull up and will make these ridges and bumps. It looks absolutely terrible. I wish I could have returned this.

Pretty Good

I bought this years ago and I still really like it. The color is a very bright melon, pink. It's very opaque with the first coat of polish. I always do two coats though-- just in case I miss a spot. It does dry quite fast. I wouldn't say instantly but it does dry within two or three minutes. The second coat takes a little longer though. I really love the brush too. It's the perfect size for my nail. I can do one swipe and I've covered pretty much the entire nail. I just have to go back in with the brush and make sure I cover them. The polish lasted quite a long time too. I used to never use a top or base coat and this polish would last about a full 7 days before major chipping would happen.

Fantastic

1. The one that I have has a black liner on one end and silver glitter on the other end. I bought this around Halloween several years ago and I am glad I did. The liner side is fantastic! It is the softest eyeliner I have ever bought. Most eyeliners you have to push hard on your waterline or it won’t go on, but this liner you just have to touch it to your waterline and the color is opaque. It lasted quite a long time as well. I did have to reapply and clean up around the middle of the day, but I have bad allergies so this is to be expected. The glitter side of the eyeliner is terrible. The glitter does not really come off onto the skin unless you press really hard and that destroys your makeup. If Milani created a full size version of the eyeliner side, I would definitely buy a million of them. They are just that good.

One of my favorite eyeshadows

1. I absolutely love this eye shadow! I bought it a couple of months ago, I tried it, and right away, I hated it. I was using it dry, and yes, it did give a very subtle gold, sparkly color but it was dull and not what I expected at all. After wearing it all day, all of this shadow was in my crease and I had used a primer. So, sadly I forgot about it for quite a while. I found it a couple of days ago though and I decided to see how it would look if I used it wet. There was a MAJOR difference. The color that was so sheer before was so intense that I had to blend it out quite a bit and the sparkle was so much more evident. I wore it all day (about 12-14 hours) and the shadow never dulled, never stopped sparkling, and never creased. I did notice that I had sparkles on my cheeks after I applied it, this is to be expected because it is a powder shadow, and there will be some fall out even if it is applied wet. This was not a big deal to me because I love glitter. I also noticed some sparkles on my glasses as well. I always get eye shadow on my lashes so I am sure it is from that. I am going to try to find the other colors because they are just too good to pass up.

Not a good primer at all

When I first bought this product I made myself try it out for about a week. I did not like it after the first day, but I thought maybe I could find some tricks that would make it work amazingly because everyone else seemed to like it. I could not find any way to use it to make it work. This primer made my foundation go on patchy and it wore off even patchier. I would not repurchase it or recommend it to anyone.

A fantastic blush for a great price

This blush is fantastic. It’s a gorgeous color that looks great on my pale skin. It lasts from the time I apply it to the time I take my makeup off at night. It’s very pigmented as well. You just have to tap your brush over it once and apply and that is usually enough. If you use it lightly, it’s very easy to blend out to get a natural looking flush to your cheeks. If you use too much it’s very difficult to blend out. I have to take my powder, apply it over the blush, and then blend like crazy. That’s my only complaint though and that is easily avoided.

One of my favorite perfumes

This is one of my favorite perfumes. It lasts from the time I put it on to the time I go to bed. I have also noticed that when I’m separating my laundry my clothes smell like it days later. So, it’s the longest lasting perfume that I have ever tried. I think it’s one of the most versatile scents as well. You could definitely wear it during any season and for any occasion. I would recommend this if you’re looking for a new perfume.

The only moisturizer that has ever worked for me

I have a combination skin type. I get very oily in the center of my face. On my cheeks I get very bad dry spots that flake up whenever I put any type of makeup on. This is no longer true. This moisturizer has made my dry patches disappear and my skin seems less oily than before. I don’t know if that’s because this moisturizer has finally evened out the oil production in my skin or what else it could be. I have also noticed that my skin is clearer than before. Again, I don’t know if that’s because my skin is producing less oil or if it’s because this moisturizer “agrees” with my skin better. All I know is that this moisturizer is the only one that has ever worked for me The only downside to this product is the price. It’s very expensive to buy full size containers from Sephora or Ulta. It’s a lot cheaper to buy sample sizes from Ebay. You just have to make sure that you are buying the real thing.
