It's a skin polish!
As Meteorites Holiday limited editions fan I was mostly curios about what kind of pearls they will formulate this year and will it warm or cool my complexion. There are 4 different pearls in Perles de Nuit. Three of them – matte pink, white pearl and lilac shimmer boast of cool tones, while champaign creamy beige pearls are warm. But cool tones win and soft pink prevail in the end. White and pink pearls give face some light coverage which is a bonus to illuminating effect. I love Meteorites Perles de Nuit for skin polishing and covering already made up skin. I am fascinated with this illuminator and try to catch my reflection in every mirror possible.
Marketed as “second skin” and “flawless”
My skin is hard to please – I have redness, pores, post-acne and it’s oily. So, it’s real challenge for foundations.
I use my Dior Foundation Powder brush for putting compact foundation on. This way I can layer and have more coverage. Compact covers redness, pores get less visible, finish is matte and creamy. Diorskin Forever diffuses light and make skin brighter. But my post-acne scars need more coverage. I am using this compact as setting powder for liquid foundation. It holds even cream blush perfectly. It keeps skin matte for several hours but after that I have to use blotting paper but that’s given – nothing keeps my skin matte longer. Powder feels comfortable and refills are available.
Golden dust, texture, biege cream – the compact is very beautiful!
Chanel Lumière Sculptée de Chanel* is the star of Chanel Holiday Collection Les Scintillances de Chanel.
I came to conclusion that it’s neutral beige with sheer satin finish. After applying it looks like soft complexion illuminator. Pink and gold micro-shimmer compensate beige tone of the powder and that puts Lumière Sculptée on different level. At the end of the day we have light diffusion and not very evident light. The texture is very unusual. It’s creamy and not powdery. It’s a great product for sculpting.
