Beauty Product Reviews
Hooray!
I Lu-UVE this line. Colour I've been rocking this summer is Siren, can't wait to pick up Pink in the Afternoon, as my hot fall shade.(as suggested by the lovely and talented Beautyeditor.ca.) These lipsticks are highly pigmented, creamy, lightweight AND available for under $12! I love Revlon, always have- ever since my "Toast of New York" brown lipstick of the 90's. I strayed for a while, but now that they've caught up with the times - Lu-Uve!!
Great Great
Another winner from Benefit! I love the BADGAL mascara, it is truly my fave., and this one is equally as good. This one is just a bit less likely to clump (although BADGAL is great at not clumping anyways). It delivers more length than BADGAL, which is all volume volume volume! Can't put as many coats on as it dries faster, but you don't need coats really.
So much better than OPI
I love the fomulas and colours. They seem more watery but it's like they stick better. ?? Long lasting as in doesn't chip for a long time. Easier to apply and not screw up. I find OPI is quite thick and clumps more often. Glad to discover it! and is in Shoppers Drug Mart too! (in Canada)
Soooo lovely!
I love this foundation for all the reasons the below ladies have mentioned. It's my favourite and I've tried them ALL. I've used this for many many months, but after a wiles, I noticed clogged cheeks and more on my chin. If I don't use it all the time, it's fine, just not daily. I contribute this to the high silicone factor. It's not "suppose" to clogged, but how can something that sits IN your pores, not do that after a while? Anyway, I've found this to be the case. Best coverage, as it covers and looks so natural.
Favourite Mineral foundation
LM knows foundation. This review is for the pressed Mineral foundation as the loose didn't have a good match for me - they seem to vary a bit in shades. It's the best mineral foundation I've used! Great coverage, sets to a creamy consistency (don't know how she did it) not shimmery and highly pigmented so you don't need much to do the job. The ingredients are the safest for sensitive or acne prone I've found. No Bizmuth oxichloride ladies...did you know that can cause clogged skin or sensitivities, not talc really... This feels great on....make sure you moisturize though, as with any powder foundation. Sets longest with a primer, but still last great without.
Best natural tint and hydration!
This is so nice putting on and lasts. The tint level is perfect for daytime and I love that it's natural...because we all end up eating what's on our lips! It's affordable too...ahem....FRESH lip tint $24?? replace it with this! Oh, I bought Pink Blossom and it is a soft light pink. My lips have a natural berry tone to them, so I like this to soften them to a girly pink. Good with a tan! Next is the Hibiscus shade.
Good colour but not lasting
This is nice for fair skin. It is the perfect level of highlight and melts into skin. Because of the pink tones, I wouldn't recommend it if you have any tan or are dark skin. But then again, there are no rules, depends what look you want....ANYways, it creases because it shifts on the skin after a few hours, even if you just put in the corners of your eyes. Perhaps it needs a primer first.....but I hate extra steps!
Skin could be better without it.
Although this is uber gentle and that is key with a cleanser, it doesn't remove make up very well and the cetearyl alcohol can prove to be a problem for acne prone ladies over time. If you swear it's the best thing for you, I think it's because you likely have a good skin care regime in addition to this or are blessed with minimal skin problems. (ie. dry skin) I used this for years, until I randomly switched for fun....my skin got even better. I use an AHA, antioxidant moisturizer and treatment masks.
