Beautiful color, stinky and tacky

I remember reading how some bad batches of the velour lipsticks smelled like cat pee but mine was very noticeable. I barely picked up any root beer scent and it was a VERY chemical noxious root beer with cat pee undertone smell. For reference, I'm not sensitive to smells, I still used the lipstick but was seriously floored with how terrible it smells, I had a friend come over to sniff test just to be sure it wasn't just me. BUT I LOVE this color. NC35 MAC, it leans pinky-brown on me instead of terracotta but I got so many compliments that it really doesn't bother me. The formula kind of stinks too. It lasts 4 hours top and never dries down on me!! It's tacky a whole dern hour later!! What yall doin!! Ain't nobody got time for that!! What does dry stays put but it's mostly the outer rim portion. I loved the applicator and the formula was comfortable to wear though. I truly loved this color but can't see myself buying any more of the velour lipsticks.
