Beauty Product Reviews
Exquisite
Great color distribution. Bright, blendable, and long lasting. The pans are huge which matters with blush. Favorites never get duped. It’s the hardest item to match online. “Pink can turn into any variety on the skin. Thank you for not immediately discontinuing it.
Wow Quality huge pans
I’m amazed. I know that people are gung ho over Jeffree star cosmetics, but I honestly thought it was some kind of cult thing. After trying his mascara and this amazing pallet, I am blown away. The pans are surprisingly big. Way big. And the quality is amazing. I use viseart eyeshadows most of the time and I find that they are much more buttery than these, but that these eyeshadows have the exact same performance and long wear as viseart. I don’t have creasing; I don’t have wearing; it just looks fresh all day.
I don’t like this palette
My first ND pallet was retro. So, in love, I bought this but was confused why there were so many shimmers and no base shades. Now, having used it a few times I really dislike most of it. The matts I bought it for don’t blend. The shimmers are nice, but I don’t typically use shimmers daily. And colourpop also has nice shimmers and better matts in some ways. Yes, ND eyeshadow has superior staying power and less irritation than cheap brands, so 3 stars bc although it’s not horrible, having a pallet with this many eyeshadows and I still have to reach for a viseart pallet for base shades and to blend crease shades properly makes me wonder why I have this one.
Covers surprisingly well
This looks like skin, covers surprisingly well, even my liver spots on my cheeks, all the while being thin as water. Weightless, non irritating, fragrance free, and doesn’t give me blocked pores anywhere i use it (and that’s everywhere!). Just amazing. This looks like no makeup, makeup done right. It has great staying power. The color is a great match and I’m a fair neutral girl. Usually wear NW20 from Mac, but that causes acne…. So i wear this. The only thing It wouldn’t touch up is powder foundation. Obviously. That’s a thick coat of zinc and it’s just not compatible.
Really happy with this
The colors are just right, although not exactly as pictured. It is a bit warmer than i thought it would be, but came out flattering. The colors are suited for every skin color.
Defective
The buffing end is scratchy. The liner end won’t pick up color the way other brushes do. This is a cheap brush ND herself would never use.
Great for sensitive skin
Limited on my foundation choices. This hits all my wishes pretty much. The color is perfect for my neutral skin. Oddly full coverage with such a thin solution. Does not look like makeup. Only retouches certain foundation. I use this to begin with and don’t need retouching.
Amazing. The perfect shadows. Major color pay-off!
This palette is perfectly suited to me. I like push liners & there's a column for that in complimentary colors at the end of each row. I'm a die-hard cool tones girl & this palette has 3 rows for that, one neutral taupe row that matches monochromaticly with my dark-blonde hair, and a warm row that has the perfect bright toned off-white shade that highlights every look perfectly. I love that it's organized to make fool-proof fades of color. The blend is the best I've ever seen. I haven't wanted another pallets since buying this nearly two years ago. I wrote a review then but wasn't as practiced with it at the time. I'm surprised they didn't include instructions. They set the pallet up in an extremely specific way. I think the only place that they told anybody about this was on a YouTube channel called Stephanie Nicole. But the video where they explain how to use the pallet is lengthy and they get to the explanation in the middle of the video. I think a quick insert with a rundown of the pallet would've been ideal and if I gifted this to somebody I would write it down for them. *Here are the instructions: the first column is a base shade for fair skin; the second column is a base shade for deeper skin; the third column is a crease shade for fair skin; the fourth column is a crease shade for deeper skin; the fifth column is a brightener that is so bright it will definitely show up on even the deepest skin tones & the last column is my favorite because it has made my life very easy, it's the push liners that complement the rows perfectly. The second row push liner I also use in my eyebrows which are the exact same color. Those push liners are not eyeshadows & don't budge, blend, smudge, smear or fade. They make very clean lines and there's no fall out if you tap your brush and there's barely any fall out if you don't. If you've ever filled in your brows with eyeshadow you know the fuzzy disaster that causes. This won't fuzz the edges. I will re-purchase this pallet. They just started to make single refills as well but barely any that I actually use. I hope that they make more refills for this pallet but it's probably time I bought a new one anyway. After having the pallet for two years I can tell that the brightener shades that are actually pressed pigments are becoming chalky and hard; they still work the way they used to on my brush but they do not swatch like they used to.
