The best palette ever?

It has quickly become a go-to, not just for loud looks which it is clearly suited to but also for adjusting and complementing the hues of other eyeshadows. When an eyeshadow looks completely different in the pan compared to on the eye, you can use these as an enhancement, to get what you expected. Eg. moss green eyeshadow which looks grey on my eye for whatever reason I can blend in a bit of a bright green to get that colour saturation, without even looking like there was a super bright colour involved... Same with the perfect sandy beige colour that I'm searching for, with this I can add a little dab of one or more of the yellows and can easily adjust the hue of another neutral brownish eyeshadow.

And I was also not expecting to find my holy grail of dark navy eyeshadow in here. Its dreamy, and again with a bit of bright blue easily adjusted for a versility.

So much fun, I love it.

Just Perfect

I just picked up this brush after coveting it for a while and I am not dissapointed! I use for a sheer application of foundation, for which I typically prefer a brush on the smaller side so i can build up where needed and blend out around the nose and eyes... this meets that preference perfectly. The synthetic fibres are packed densely enough to be able to spread product, but they are also soft enough to really blend and not just smear the product around. On top of that the handle is nicely weighted so it feels luxurious and has balance in hand.

This brush is perfect for sweeping on and buffing in a light layers of foundation, so you can build up to your desired coverage. For me it works really well using a light touch and just grazing over the skin as the synthetic bristles are quite flexible so its basically just going to be a bit too floppy to spread a whole lot of product in one go. I also really enjoy the size and weight of the brush and the way it handles, and the magnets are a dream for washing and drying and storing. The only negative point for me is that it takes a bit more effort to wash this brush clean compared to others (synthetic and natural).

A surprisingly delightful brush, the best of both worlds as the goat hair being relatively course (compared to squirrel) can pick up a decent amount of product, but the generous length and taper of the bristles creates a fluffy surface to gently deposit product for maximum control with diffused edges so you can lay down as much or as little as you need. I love using this for a little dusting of finishing powder...and the magnetic base is just a bonus for storage and drying.

My favourite thing to do with this primer is mix it in with Matte foundations which my skin has recently become too dry to wear....this mixes in so beautifully and really gives a youthful skin glow to my not-so-youthful skin like no other foundation combo ever has before. A teensy tiny bit of translucent powder to blur the pores and I've got a new spring in my step.
