Worst Waterproof Mascara
I hate to leave such a bad review, but this is the worst waterproof mascara I have ever used. It is so wet and does not keep my lashes curled (I have straight Asian lashes). I have to recurl after I put on the mascara and wait for it to dry. And even then it does not do a good job holding the curl. If you don't mind super wet mascaras, these might be okay. I will say, it does do a good job with volume and length. Too bad that the #1 thing I look for in a mascara is that it keeps my lashes curled.
I tried drawing out the formula overnight to see if would help and it's still very wet and immediately straightens my lashes after being curled.
Ingredient may be questionable, but it works wonders!
Toluene freaks me out a little bit, because I interned at a medical manufacturing plant back in undergrad and it was regarded as highly toxic and was handled with caution. To see it as an ingredient in this nail polish is a bit unsettling. However, it is honestly the best top coat I have ever used. It’s almost as if I got gel nails done.
I understand the hype
When micellar water was just becoming all the rage, I tried a different brand from the drugstore. I honestly didn’t like it at all, so I thought I just didn’t like micellar water in general. When shopping on Beautylish for the first time, this item was a recommended item and I like to give things a second chance, so I decided to order it. I love it! I use it more as a toner than anything else after removing my makeup or in the morning after splashing my face with water. I used to do (and sometimes still do) double cleansing, because I wear a lot of waterproof makeup, but now that I use this as a toner step, I just do the oil cleansing and use this product to gently wipe with cotton pads. It cuts down my skincare routine and does a great job removing some makeup residue left from the initial cleansing.
Great but not what I was looking for
It has great pigment and it stays on all day without smudging. I’ve got relatively oily lids (waterproof mascaras often transfer a bit to my eyelids). However, this stayed on all day without budging. However, it was not what I was looking for. I like to draw the thinnest lines for eyeliner and this won’t allow me to draw as thin as I’d like. The photos online just looked like it would draw thinner lines than it does in real life. Great for general eyeliner purposes, though.
