I have the Red ferrule set and the Blue ferrule sets. Attaching comparison photos of the few of them. The Classic Crease blue ferrule is nearly identical with this Blender Pro red ferrule one, but that is because the shape is very similar. The bristle shape is pretty much the same length and circumference. I have washed both by the way numerous times (spray aloe vera on them and use the Brush Guard to shape them back). Anyway, these are NOT the same. The red ferrule Blender Pro is more dense. It will yield a more intense blend. The blue ferrule Classic Crease is less dense so it will be more gentle and is great as a final touch to gently blend everything together. I actually LOVE the red ferrule Blender Pro to apply precise highlighter. It is JUST soft enough for that.
A winner, as always
This brush is light, flimsy (in a good way) and great for un-precise highlighter application. It is great for airy blush application especially the ones that are powdery or very pigmented and easy to pick up, as well as any finishing powders that you want only in certain areas of the face. I would not use this for setting under the eyes because it will be too big for this but if you set your whole eye area before makeup - this will be great. This brush is so stinking soft, it is a treat to use! I added photos of Wayne Goss for size comparison.
Fantastic!
This is a fantastic set of medium-sized face brushes. Brush 10 Cheek has that perfect candle light shape - great for brushing on a highlighter or blush topper. Brush 12 I use for parting on blush. Brush 12 is pinched so would be great for co touring your cheeks or for any product along the hair line. Brush 13 is great if you want to buff/stipple your product on. Brush 13 is perfect for any finishing powder or pigmented blush, or of course, highlighter! Brush 15 I haven’t even used yet but I would be good for highlighter. I have added photos of other brands for comparison. Tom Ford 05 bronzer brush is giant compared to these. I wanted to have a visual proof to my classification of these - they are medium sized face brushes. Maybe even small. So they are great for small faces! I am a petite girl of 5’ 2” and these are fantastic. The firmness is med to light (#14). The #14 is the same density as SG Soft Cheek. Many fude brands make bigger size face brushes so in my opinion, this set is great to fill the void with small/medium face brushes. All of these are made with un-dyed goat hair so you can use these with cream or liquid formulas. Please note that with natural brushes there will be a goat smell. These have a medium intensity smell, meaning you will get a whiff of a goat hair smell when you use them. The white color will obviously also have the product residue after you used them (see photos). Do not worry - this washes out 💯 %. Now, Wayne does not advise to wash these a lot which makes sense, these are natural hair brushes with hair follicles that may get upset and dry if you wash them too much = think your own hair! A little bronzer won’t hurt them as much as the frequent washing will. When you do wash them, please use a baby shampoo or some other NATURAL brush cleanser. I use Sigma brush shampoo. After you wash them, consider using a condo that will not weigh them down or mess with the cuticle. This may affect the hair’s ability to pick the product up. I use 100% Aloe Vera. See my photo for what I use. It can be found in the sunscreen isle as a sun burn treatment. Make sure it is pure aloe. This still conditions and moisturizes the brushes. After you apply the aloe and put on a brush sleeve on to re-shape the bristle. No joke, it will dry to the factory slim shape!
