Beauty Product Reviews
Well made.
I bought this product more out of curiosity to compare to other brush guards I had. Having used this product for a few weeks now, I can say it definitely surpassed my expectations.
I find that these brush guards retain their shapes after being put on and removed many times and that they are slightly stiffer in nature, making them perfect to store double-ended brushes upright, while protecting the side that faces down. They are also very useful to shape my brushes after I have washed them.
I would definitely recommend these over cheaper alternatives.
A favorite!
This is one of my favorite products from The Ordinary and I'm on my second bottle already. I love the way this feels on the skin, lightweight, non-greasy and very soothing. It leaves my skin feeling "plumped", moisturized, but not oily.
I believe this is great for oily skins on its own, or layered for drier skin types. I personally use this twice a day, in the morning after a few essences, and at night before layering heavier creams on top.
I recommend trying this product first from their line for adding moisture to your skin if you're unsure about what products to get. Once you try this one, I would add others depending on your needs.
It's okay, not my favorite.
I had really high hopes for this product, however I do feel it did not live up fully to my expectations. I was looking for a primer to help blur my skin imperfections and make applying my foundation an easy and painless ordeal. To me this primer feels too heavy on the skin and makes it harder to attain a flawless looking finish. It also feels slightly "sticky" on which I think contributes to my difficulty in using this.
This primer worked better on a dewier foundations (such as Tarte's Rainforest of the Sea) and less well on drier/matte foundations (such as Fenty).
I'm not sure I would repurchase this again, however, I will continue to experiment with this product to see how I can make it work for me. Some other primers that I enjoy and feel work well with many of my foundations include the Hourglass' Veil Mineral Primer, the Too Faced's Hangover Primer and Smashbox's Photo Finish Pore Minimizing Primer.
