Beauty Product Reviews
Good but don't know if I would repurchase
It's definately the best setting powder for baking hands down. I have dry skin so this stuff helps my make up set without making it feel or look drier. I don't think I would repurchase as a) I don't bake much, only on weekends and I don't take a ton of photos so I don't care about flashback from another powder, b)it's expensive, c) call me crazy but I don't like the stopper, I know everyone raves about how the stopper is so good but I see it as annoying when I'm in a rush and have to keep flicking it out of the way to get to the product. For setting the face in general it doesn't oxidise foundation hallelujah, alot of powders I have tried have turned my foundation orange. I do always experience though that setting powder almost 'eats' my foundation on my cheeks, like before I apply powder it looks full coverage, after powder it looks medium. I moisturise, prime and use a foundation brush to apply foundation and a powder brush for powder so I don't get why it happens, but it is a minor thing that you only notice up close. If you do have dry/ normal skin I say just try this and you will probably like it for special occasions or if you go out alot/ take a lot of photos, but if you need something for everyday- like going to work I would say there's probably something better in the drug store.
Absolutely gorgeous
For a while I was hesitant to buy this simply because I have other palettes that I didn't want to ignore. This is absolutely the best quality eyeshadow I have ever owned, it is so soft that you get a lot of kick up from the pan but it blends incredibly and the pigment is far beyond Too Faced or any other high end palette out there, this is in the leagues of legionaries like Juvias place, LORAC, Natasha Denona. The only thing I could say is a negative is that I personally don't see the need for darker toned shimmers/ satins as I typically use dark colors for a cut crease or outer corner, I think most people prefer to use satin/ pearl/ shimmer finishes as lid colors which are typically lighter toned, I just wish that the darker colors were matte and lighter/medium were shimmer to be able to utilise them all for cut crease purposes.
Good but not life changing
Look, it's a hell of a lot better than the Benefit Goof Proof. It is more precise, less waxy, has a better shade range and longer lasting. I have extremely uneven, misshapen, sparse brows that are impossible to deal with and will not grow into anything workable as I have no arch. This product has helped me bring some definition but I think I just prefer a pomade, the pencil is better for filing in the middle.
