Cindy...sorry for the delayed response. Ok, hormones/mess and skin. Not knowing what type of meds you are taking and exact medical condition that requires such treatment I will start off by saying while topical treatments are great for the skin what is more important what you eat on a daily will provide greater results on the positive side. Eating a well balanced diet is key. Limiting the naughty stuff like sugars and rich dairy products such as cheese and ice cream and saturated fats. Flaxseed...natural form and pill form are great at addressing hormonal issues as they contain Omega 3's that are the building blocks needed for healthy skin. It what I take when I remember to take it along with throwing milled flaxseed in my shakes, pancakes and homemade bread. Sometimes I even sprinkle it over fruit. Have your diet concentrate heavily on fresh fruits and veggies. Change won't happen overnight but it will certainly make you feel better and your skin will thank you later for it as well. A gentle toner such as an alcohol free witch hazel should be infused into your daily skincare routine to help reduce the issues you are seeing with your skin. It's not a cure all but it will definitely be of help. ;)
Thank you so much for responding Shelly. I appreciate it. You have no idea how bad this has thrown off my skin. I'm taking a high dose of birth control for my period because I have a a prolonged heavy period. Literally all the help you and traci gave me has gone out the window. I'm developing cystic acne around my jaw line. For the first time in my life I have oily skin. It's not like that durning the day but in the morning around my t zone it's just full of oil. Yes my diet has been sooo bad because what this birth control is doing is putting my body through pregnancy mode. To the point where I actually am having full on pregnancy symptoms. And I crave the weirdest crap lol. I've tried so hard to incorporate fruit and veggies. I do but not all the time because of the cravings. My primary Doctor suggested that I get off the Hrmone because it is affecting my body physically. It gets me so irritated because I've had the most flawless skin since I started the routine that you and traci started me on. Thank you so much for the advice Shelly 💜
Cindy...thank you sooo much for responding to my post. It had to be done. I just couldn't remain quiet and not say anything. It has been bugging me for several months and I just had to lay it out there. Hopefully positive changes will proceed and it can be a healthy place to exchange, explore with other beauties.XXXX.
Happy Birthday beautiful!! I love your haul post. You made some super great buys. I certainly hope the Murad works out great for you. I look forward to your skincare update. ;)
Awe thank you Shelley!! what I wanna do is take pics of what my skin looks like every week once I start the kit. I think it would be interesting to the difference. I appreciate all the help you have given me. I have been so self conscious about my skin. you and Traci have helped so much and it's appreciated:)
