Lovely lightweight coverage

I love this foundation! It is incredibly lightweight and comfortable to wear. It provides light coverage, which is perfect for me. One pump covers my face and leaves me looking even without looking like I'm wearing any makeup. If you like a heavy, thick coverage look, this won't be a good option for you. But if you want something that is breathable, natural looking, and applies lightly and quickly, this may be right up your alley. Do make sure to give it a good shake as the directions say - I've been doing that and have had no problems with separation or patchiness. I love this stuff!

Very effective, doesn't smell great

I find this oil to be very comfortable to use - it does sit on the skin rather than soaking in completely, but it's not greasy or uncomfortable, and it does offer great moisturization. I just make sure to use it at night when a little tackiness isn't a problem. The downside, as others have noted, is the smell. This does have a faint but noticeable scent that is, to be honest, reminiscent of a barnyard. It's not overpowering, but it's definitely there. The smell won't stop me from using this, but it's a little unpleasant and keeps this from being an all star product for me. But overall, I would recommend this. Just be aware that it's not the best smelling product!

Great at first, separates later

I'm torn on this item. On one hand, the finish is lovely when first applied. I would not call this full coverage - it seems more medium coverage to me, but it's relatively easy to build up the coverage if you need something more. Initially, this has a natural looking, soft finish that I really appreciate. The issue I have is that this product breaks up on me pretty badly over the day. Within an hour or two, this tends to settle in pores that I never even see with other products and by the end of the day, there are sections of my skin where this is completely broken and patchy. I have very normal skin with no dry or oily patches, very few lines, and generally no blemishes, and I have never had this happen with any other foundation product before. I'll keep this around for use during short-term special occasions but sadly, this just can't be my daily product.

Great for brightening

I have extremely fair skin and after having a baby a year ago, I found that my complexion was just a bit dull. I gave this product a shot (along with several other The Ordinary items) to see if it could help with my skin's overall tone and appearance. This did not disappoint! I woke up the morning after applying this for the first time and I could genuinely tell a difference. My skin appeared brighter and more even in tone. I now use this twice a week, the AHA/BHA peel once a week, and the 5% lactic acid on the remaining days and my skin is leaps and bounds from where it was before. I don't wear any concealer or foundation most days, and I credit this product with a lot of that. I have had no peeling, no inflammation, really no reactions of any kind other than better skin. Highly recommend this!
