Beauty Product Reviews
OK
The container is super cute. The color is alright, not something I would buy myself for a lip color. The color is a sheer generic mauve. I bought it because it is the only natural mineral SPF lip product I could find that went OVER my lipstick. If you wear most lip sunscreens under or over your lipstick it makes the lipstick dissolve really quickly. I couldn't find a lip gloss that was natural enough plus mineral SPF. Ultimately that is the ONLY reason I am using it. I was really disappointed to feel and then read on the label that the main ingredient is castor oil, which is very drying. It is a shame so many natural lip products use it as the main ingredient because it is so DRYING! It feels like pizza grease on my lips and it still does sort of dissolve my other lipstick. I honestly only put it on towards the end of the day because of that, when I should be wearing it all day. As far as the effectiveness goes, I'm not sure as I haven't burnt any surrounding area.
Pale
This stuff really is pale. I'm super pale but I also heard someone use it as a pale-skin highlighter. It is nearly white but like goth make-up pigment. It is also quite thick. Unfortunately it did not work any better than my Bare Minerals and Marc Jacobs concealors. As far as a highlight, it was OK, but it didn't wow me enough to keep using it.
Yellow
This was supposed to be for Fair skin with pink undertones. This is a VERY yellow foundation and not fair enough. I had high hopes based on reviews and liking their lip products but this was a bust. The foundation itself didn't seem anything special although it was hard to tell through the yellow.
Meh
I was hoping this would be something special but I did a side-by-side comparison on face all day today between this and my $4.5/lb arrowroot powder. They were exactly the same. No thanks.
