How to tell if your tone is warm or cool? The easy answer is to ask at a makeup counter. Ha ha.
Warm is the degree to which a color has orange/red. Cool is the degree to which a color has blue. But this can be complicated because all colors are relative and even in reds there are warm crimson reds, and cooler maroon/magenta reds. There are cool ultramarine blues and relatively warmer aqua or turquoise blues. Because no color is pure. (actually more pure colors can do weird things -I passed out once in a restaurant because they had very intense single wavelength red lighting.
Warm cloth does 2things, it opens the pores so the mask can draw out impurities from deeper down and it brings blood flow to the skin. All the healthy food in the world can't help if the nutrients don't reach where they are needed. Don't burn your skin, warm but not hot. I also do sauna/steam a lot.
