Beauty Product Reviews
Very chic — needs a mirror!
This makeup case is beautifully made. It’s a lovely super soft black leather exterior, with a waterproofed baby pink interior. The hardware feels very nice and the whole case is constructed with excellent quality. It’s a lovely small size and fits my basic everyday essentials in it. — perfect to throw in my handbag or gym bag when necessary. Wayne Goss and Chikuhodo brushes fit perfectly when laid horizontally. This case is a simple, chic addition to my collection and I just love it. My only wish is that is had a mirror in the lid, but it’s not necessary as I have mirrors in my makeup compacts, but considering the price-tag a mirror would be appreciated. Very happy with my purchase and would recommend.
It grew on me
This palette took some time for me to grow fond of it. At first I was uninspired; all the colours I already own in different palettes. But slowly, after using it a few times, the quality of the shadows became apparent; now I use it for every look I create. This would make a fantastic basic addition to a MUA's kit or a truly generous gift for someone who is looking to beef their personal collection of shadows. Just like a little black dress, this palette is my trusty go-to. There's warms, neutrals, and even a hint of cool. The selection of shades will see you through every time.
Beautiful Powder
I had been thinking about purchasing this powder for YEARS now, ever since I first saw Charlotte use it on her YouTube channel. Now, Charlotte is so passionate about her makeup she makes it hard to resist purchasing every single thing in the line. I've been disappointed by some of her products that I've purchased before, but this is not one of them. This powder is gorgeous on the skin. It's so super finely milled I can't even see it once I've applied it. I wish it had a tiny bit of coverage, but that's just my personal preference. If you have been thinking about buying this, just take the leap and do it.
Charlotte has really nailed the formula for these shadows. It's quite trippy at first when you swatch these shadows; the pigment is incredible, yet there's no powder being kicked up when you swirl your brush. The shade I picked up was The Dolce Vita— I'm not terribly fussed by the colours seeing as they're quite warm-toned, and I tend to suit cooler tones. However, I'll definitely be picking up a few different shades seeing as the quality is just so luxe.
