Beauty Product Reviews
Not a fan, if you want me to be honest. I find that when I put this powder all over my face, in small quantities, it makes my skin appear darker while bringing out my redness. That's after I complete my makeup routine, meaning this powder is cutting through layers of foundation and primer to make it seem pointless. It does minimize pores, but I find that it's nothing extraordinary. Also, if you're not a fan of that heavy chemical dust that wafts off your brush when you apply, steer clear of this powder. Attached is an image of my foundation before the powder and after.
This liquid glitter eyeliner falls comfortably between elf's holographic liquid liner and urban decay's glitter liners in terms of quality. I find that when it touches the inner corner of my upper lid, my eyes turn to leaky faucets almost immediately. It also tends to have a gunky, flaky type of consistency. It doesn't fade, it peels off in odd quantities. That aside, it's a very pigmented, ultra-packed stroke of glitter, and if you're willing to sacrifice longevity for beauty, I say go for it.
Not sure how to put this lightly, but I'll never use this product on a client or myself ever again. I truly tried to fall in love with it. I mixed it with illuminating drops, white mixer, etc. to attempt to get it right. Something about the formulation allows your skin to suck the color right up. It doesn't sit / melt gracefully on the skin, it sinks down into your pores. No matter how much you try to build that coverage, it just keeps getting worse. Not to mention, it oxidizes before I'm even done with my routine. It's just plain depressing.
I tried this foundation out two years back when putting a thick foundation on only made my dry, flakey skin that much worse. Recently, I've revisited the foundation now that my skin is more of a friend than foe. To be fair, I mix this foundation with my NYX Pro White Mixer, MAC's strobe cream, and a drop of facial oil to make this foundation go on like a beautiful, dewy charm. Matte falls flat on my face, but this foundation works wonders when you manipulate it to fit your desired skin finish.
If you're a fan of glitter, you absolutely need this. Dribbling some onto a brush before dipping into the glitter itself proves the easiest for me. No flaking, no budging, this truly allows you to build a look that will adhere from dawn until the next sunrise. Invest in a flat brush that fits your eye shape, and you'll be good to go.
