The perfect blush brush
This is the perfect blush brush, for me. It picks up the right amount, and deposits it very gently. It always looks very seamless when I use this brush, and I have been using this brush exclusively for blush since I got it, which was months ago. Love it so much!
Hate the liner, like the liquid lipstick
I purchased the liner/liquid lipstick set in Calabasas. I have 2 other JS liquid lipsticks, but this is my first time trying the liner. I like the liquid lipstick, but I do not like the liner at all. I really wish I hadn't purchased the set. I honestly think that the liner is similar in formula to Colourpop, but in all realness, the CP one is better. This is very hard to get color payoff, and the texture it leaves on the lips once you do get it applied is matte, patchy and dry. I'm perplexed that JS would approve this for release. The liner packaging is very cute, but I couldn't care less about packaging, I want a well performing product. I won't return the set because I bought it during the gift card event, so I'm SOL.
Absolute perfection
I love this blush brush SO much more than I expected to. I have several blush brushes (high and low end) and wasn't sure I needed another, boy was I wrong. This brush is unbelievably soft and picks up and lays down the perfect amount of blush. Never streaky, just perfection. I have a Nars blush that for whatever reason, my other blush brushes just can't pick up the right amount of it, this brush shocked me by it's performance. Both of her fan brushes and this blush brush are my all-time favs!
The bronzer brush of my dreams!
I knew I was going to love this brush as soon as I saw it. The moment it became available for individual purchase I bought it. I love large fan brushes for bronzer, but only had synthetic ones up to this point. My Wayne Goss brushes are my babies, and now that I have tried Sonia's, I have already ordered all but 2 of the brushes in her collection. The brushes of hers I have tried are all extremely gorgeous, soft, well made and perform outrageously well. I am very impressed and this brush is my favorite! It applies and blends bronzer in a snap.
Great concept, but only for very fair skin tones
I was lusting after this for a couple months to use for traveling, but I never pulled the trigger on purchasing. I received this in my 2018 XL Lucky Bag, so I was excited to swatch and test it out. I'm really disappointed that this is SO fair, the bronzer doesn't even show up on my light-medium golden under-toned skin. The blushes don't really show up either, just BARELY. Thank goodness I didn't buy this, then I would have definitely returned it. I'm very disappointed that CT products are SO geared toward super white skin tones. If you want to stay relevant in today's beauty industry, Charlotte, you MUST provide some tone variety, and not just light and dark. Also, the highlighter tends to need to be resurfaced quite often, as the surface gets a bit hard. The shadows are nice, but as previous review(s) pointed out, the black becomes grey very quickly. If she really was the mastermind behind Some of Tom Ford's makeup line, I really expected more from her own line. Might give this to a pale friend.
Fantastic for traveling or fast makeup application
I love this palette for traveling or the days when I only want to spend 5 to 8 minutes on my makeup. All of the colors look fantastic on my light/ medium skin tone. It is perfect for me and I am very glad I bought it.
Fantastic!
I always thought that all eyelash curlers were created equal.. my oh my, how wrong I was indeed. This eyelash curler is absolute perfection. I have not pinched my eye ONCE in the year that I have had this curler. It also just does something special, it doesn't kink lashes, or give an obnoxious curl, it truly is just perfection. I plan on gifting a couple of these this Christmas to some special ladies in my life, because every girl should have a top shelf eyelash curler.
My new best friend(s)
It is true that these are all different sized crease brushes, Wayne explains why he did that in one of his videos. If you have hooded eyes or like a good smoky eye, these will be your best friends. Honestly, these are my babies now. Be warned, you want to be careful how you store these, because the bristles are SO soft that they can bend and kink easily if not stored perfectly. These brushes make executing a perfect eye look SO fast and easy, it literally feels like "swipe, swipe, blend, blend, done" I would absolutely recommend this set to anyone that wants to invest in a time saving, quality brush set. I am 38, and am now much more aware of trying not to tug at the eye area. That is where these brushes really separate themselves from any other. They basically make it impossible to tug at the eye. They are so uber soft that even if you have a heavy hand, like I often do, they do not move the skin around the eye... they just blend like a dream. All in all, I think Wayne knocked it out of the park with this set. A++
Game changer
Words cannot describe how much I love this brush. It is very small, with short bristles, and it just gives you the most wonderful control and precision. It pushes shadow into the lash line so effortlessly and precisely. It would work great for brows also, but I'm currently into using brow pencils. I may have to get a back up, as the thought of being without this baby makes me want to cry. ;) Seriously, for $17, what are you waiting for?
Perfect powder application in seconds!
First off, I want to give a shout out to Beautylish and their lightning fast shipping. I have several Wayne Goss brushes.. even got a backup of the Airbrush when it was re-released. Wayne's brushes are my babies... they truly are Japanese craftsmanship at its finest. That being said, I waited for several months before finally pulling the trigger on this particular brush. I have a lot of powder brushes, and just didn't know that this one was particularly "necessary" for my collection. After receiving it, and giving it a few tries with various products, I can truly say that this has become a beloved addition to my collection. I personally feel that it shines brightest when used for setting foundation with loose setting powder. It applies setting powder seamlessly in literally seconds flat. I tried blush, bronzer and highlighter as well. I will say that if I ever find myself travelling and can only make room for one face brush.. this is hands down the winner. In a pinch you can use it for setting powder, then one side for bronzer, the other for blush, and the tip for highlighter. I tried this, and it worked. If I am being real though, I will primarily use this brush for setting powder. #1, I have other brushes for the other tasks, and #2, it takes a few swipes to load it up with the other products. I use a microfiber cloth to swipe away excess products before dipping into another medium (ex: bronzer to blush). The brush itself feels nicely balanced and the goat hair is extremely soft, yet it retains its shape immediately after pressure is applied. I really think that with proper care and storage, this little baby will bring years of magical blending power. I look forward to getting my next Wayne Goss brush(es). Obviously I got by for years without this brush in my arsenal, but now that I DO have it in my possession, it's not going anywhere!
