Beauty Product Reviews
You Need This
In short: this is amazing, you need it. It takes off makeup without the tugging. And this unique packaging makes it easy to pump up the water so you're not wasteful, though to be honest I have the regular one and it's the same thing. However I would prefer this one.
Two stories: I purchased this for my mother who needed a makeup remover. She's usually okay with whatever remover and she's used to having to tug at her face to make things come off. When she used this, she was in love. She's now hidden in a secret spot so that we cannot find it. She doesn't always use makeup so she sometimes uses this after a long way when she just needs to freshen up her face.
I too have this product, I've used this one in the regular packaging (which is the one you have to turn over to get the product out) and I currently use the blue packaged one. I recommend this one so much more. Doesn't really matter which packaging you get. Its a great product either way.
Not Quite What I Expected
I purchased this item to depot everything and make one side my matte's and the other side my shimmers. This product is kind of bulky, which I probably could have avoided if I had really thought out the measurements given. I do not have thousands of colors so it works great for me, I have yet to fill each side up entirely. Overall I think it works just fine if you use this as an every day person. I would even recommend it to those who travel because you can just pop in all the eyeshadows, blushes, highlighters, bronzers, or whatever you may need.
If you have an extensive makeup collection, this may not be for you.
5/5 Recommend
Background: I have fairly normal eyelids with occasional oil. I have very dark brown eyes. I'm a light medium complexion with a neutral undertone.
The Product: I wasn't in love with this product when I was first purchasing it, I don't think the pictures do any of these shades justice, they are much more pigmented and beautiful than what is shown in the pictures. It is a duochrome that gives that "Forest Green/Brown" vibe to it. When it catches in the light, the green really pops. I recommend applying this with your finger for ultimate pigmentation. If you use a brush it tends to fade the shade a little bit, just use your finger, it honestly makes a difference. I'm sure you can also use Mac Fix+ or primer water or whatever you use to make shades pop but it's much easier to control with your finger.
The picture: I tried to capture it in its true color as best I could, it is honestly just so pretty in person especially if you want it as an all over the shade color. It is the first shade shown in the picture. If you're interested in pairing this with another color, you could check out the Inglot 333 Matte shade (that's the color that I have all the way at the bottom) There is a separate review for that one.
I love this color but...
Background: Let me start off by saying that I've wanted a green shade for a while, I have dark brown eyes with a light medium complexion and a mostly neutral undertone. I would say that my eyelids tend to be normal (occasionally I'll have them be oily but for the most part they are normal).
The product: This shade is true to the description. It's incredibly silky and very easy to blend. The only thing I did not like was that It's not very long lasting. I don't know if its just this particular color or if I didn't set down my eye primer properly but for some reason this particular color fades a lot throughout the day. I have another shade (418 Shimmer) and that one lasts all day. These shades also come as individuals. They are magnetic so you can just pop them into a z palette. On the back of this product there's the name of the color as well as some general info (shelf life, address, amount)
I occasionally use this as a corner shade with the 418 Shimmer over the whole lid. This color also works great if you want to do a natural eye and just run it underneath your eye to give a little pop of color
Pigmentation
I have an olive medium tan skin and have struggled to find a perfect blush. This is the perfect shade of pink. It is incredibly smooth -not chalky at all. It has a velvety feel to it and has absolutely no glitter. It goes on smoothly and blends beautifully. This is definitely one of those blushes you could build up or keep a light hand for a natural effect.
This is amazingly pigmented for the price. It's great quality and I highly recommend it.
I store this in a small sephora Z Palette because it is not in a package. This held onto my palette magnetically which was a plus. If you already have the freedom palette I believe this is perfectly shaped for it but I just stuck it in my own.
Good -but get the Original
Background: I desired a more hydrating Bioderma than the original pink one.
Notes: I felt this stung my eyes and the pink bioderma did not. I also felt this didn't remove my eye makeup as swiftly but that may be because I was scared of putting it near my eye.
This was also not as hydrating as I had hoped. Though it didn't leave it as dry as the regular one, it wasn't a huge difference.
Overall I think everyone should just invest in the regular one. This does the exact same thing but stings your eyes.
