Drama and flirty at the same darn time!
I've always admired Velour Lashes, mostly because I appreciate the quality they are made with. They're not just carefully thrown together in some lash factory and you can experience the quality time and time again with how many uses you can get from them. They're without a doubt up there in my top five lashes category.
The It's Sho Fluffy lashes are truly fluffy in every sense of the name. They are soft and luxe and do not look shiny on the top of the lash. The length is just right. I would consider my eyes pretty large because what can I say, I have big eyes, and the fluff still there which I love! I would consider the length mid-length and they're definitely not super dramatic. They're just right for me and I appreciate them very much!!
Super hydrating
Ok, I was a bit skeptical about this product because a $98 moisturizer in 2019 is pretty expensive if you ask me. Especially when there are products that are so quick and easy in the skincare world. This is a splurge that is undoubtedly worth it. I would splurge on this time and time again because my skin eats it up like pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving!
I have severely dry and sensitive skin and there are very few products I can use because of it. The Age Confidence Cream is thick and hydrating without clogging my pores or feeling like its sitting on top of my skin. I cannot attest to the age-defying benefits because I don't have deep lines or wrinkles but the hydration factor is definitely there!
An everyday moisturizer that won't let you down if you have dry, peeling skin is the best way I can describe this.
So underrated!!
I have no idea why no one is raving about this but it's so unfortunate. This is my false lash savior in a freaking bottle and I can't ever let it go now that I've discovered this gem!
Don't use this solution for your dollar store lashes or your throw aways, save it for your luxury lashes that you spend good coins on. Yes a little goes a long way with the solution but I like to reserve only for my lashes worth saving time and time again.
Ok, so now on to how it works-- the comb is PERFECT for lashes because it is tiny enough to separate and get any gunk out but it's also not too small so you can comfortably grip it while you're grooming your prized possessions a.k.a. lashes. I like to start with the combo and pull out any glue residue then finish up the grooming treatment by brushing my lashes out.
Pretty neat!
Transforms my skin and I feel like I had a facial!!
All I can say is O-M-G! I've used this two times and each time I have been left astonished at how amazing my skin looks and feels!
The first time I used this product, I was a bit weary because I have very dry and sensitive skin and I was worried the Azelaic Acid would overly dry my skin out. I was completely wrong. The Azelaic Acid works to resurface the skin and balances oil production because yes, even my dry skin need oil product rebalancing! So once I educated myself about the product I was more excited for it. Then I tried it. I was blown away by the facial I received from a $30 bottle of AHA/BHA! It was like I had a totally new face and I get this same effect every time I use it now.
The only drawback about this product is that my dry skin was pretty dry after using it the first time but about 12 days later I used it again and did not notice as severe dryness so it's safe to say my skin is not irritated or unhappy with it.
Used it twice so far and will be using it again for sure!
So sensual!!
This paint pot is literally a silky night gown in a bottle. It is the epitome of sensual in my opinion and it is phenomenal on my lids as an all-over wash of color! I can easily use this underneath shadow and it doubles as a primer which I love. But who would want to cover up a stunning color like this with shadow? Certainly not me.
I find it very easy to blend with either a duo-fibre stippling brush or my fingers and it can crease in my overly oily eye area but I don't mind it because there is a gold reflect shift that this gives me that I cannot get enough of.
If you've ever used MAC's paint pots, this formula is very similar but this is more creamy and the shade Brut Rose has a reflect that is out of this world!
If you have a lot of build up in your hair from products you will love this
I gave this a try and it surprised me how well my hair reacted to it. Not only was my scalp nice and clean, all the build up in my hair was completely gone WITHOUT that squeaky clean feeling that usually means my hair is stripped of all it's oils.
I'm Mexican and Black and my hair is extremely dry. I add a good amount of hydration to my hair but it always returns to its dryness. To combat the dryness I will usually wash my hair every 7-10 days (don't scream, it's totally normal for people of color). But even when I wash my hair, there are times when I have simply too much build up and I need to wash it a second time. This Detox Shampoo surely did detox my hair alright. What was most important to me was that I did not have that yucky squeaky feeling that means my hair is stripped of all oils. Good job with this one Klorane.
Imagine Soleil Blanc filling your home
I'm a huge fan of Tom Ford's Soleil Blanc and if you love the sweet, sultry and vanilla scent of Soleil Blanc, you will love this candle. It burns for quite a long time and unfortunately, I have not mastered the art of not getting black smoke every time I put out a candle but other than that this is amazing.
When I smelled this I was worried it was going to be overpowering. Not at all. Now I understand the price (besides it being Tom Ford). You burn this candle for 30-45 minutes then put it out and that is all you need to fill your home with Soleil Blanc scent. And it's not at all overwhelming. It is like passing someone in the elevator and getting a swish of the scent up your nostrils, so amazing.
This candle is so much more than a candle. It is an experience and each time I light it I indulge in the aroma.
A lipstick and lipgloss hybrid
I can't get enough of this formula!! It is what I call a lipstick/lipgloss hybrid and it is SO shiny. It's worth giving a try because they're truly not a formula like this that's currently on the market.
If you're looking for long-wear, you're not going to find it with this product. You're also not going to get rid of lip gloss hair as I like to call it. But you are going to have some bangin' lips that just don't stop. I do hope Charlotte comes out with more shades of this product because Dirty Dancer is the only shade that I like out of the collection.
The formula is very lightweight and doesn't feel like a whole bunch of what not sitting on my lips. Nope. It feels light when I apply and even when I touch-up. Most importantly to me, as this wears off throughout the day, it leaves this gorgeous stain on the lips and it's almost like it goes from lipgloss/lipstick hybrid to full blown lipstick. It's awesome. The shade Dirty Dancer gives me that "my lips but better" look and I love it.
Pretty great, just hope more shades come out eventually.
Beautiful color and very comfortable
Liquid lipsticks have come a long way from where they used to be. There was a trial and error time (around 2015-2016) where liquid lipsticks were all the rage and literally every brand had 20+ shades of liquid lipsticks. But with the huge influx in brands creating liquid lipsticks, there were also so many that slipped through the cracks and were just plain awful. I said all that to say the By Terry Lip-Expert Matte is everything but a hyped up liquid lipstick fad that's fueled with marketing and jibber jabber. No, this is a well thought-out and well executed formula.
The consistency is thin and airy so it never feels like I'm wearing a ton of gunk on my lips. My lips also never feel dry or crumbly and I can layer product which is something I always search for in liquid lipsticks. The color is nice and opaque and I genuinely appreciate the color selection.
The shade range covers all the bases and my favorite is Chili Fig (in photo). Chili Fig is so vibrant and full of life and it brings so much excitement to me whenever I wear it! I would describe this shade as a pinkish red wine and I love it oh so much. I don't know about you but this is my everyday color for sure. Another really great shade I adore is Gypsy Wine. They did a spectacular job with this one.
A pretty nice set with spring colors
I enjoy this set, one for the value and two for the colors. Smith & Cult nail polishes are some of my faves and they always last 8-10 days before I begin to see chipping. Within this trio set my favorite shade is Forever Fades Fast. It's this soft yet vibrant peachy pink nude that is barely there but still noticeable.
I have pretty thick lines on some of my nails and it probably stems from a deficiency of some sort (but that's another story). Forever Fades Fast is definitely on the lighter side of the nail polish spectrum and although the color is lighter it is everything but streaky on me!! I usually will use the Inglot Nail Base then apply my nail polish and finish up with the Smith & Cult Top Coat. The combo of these three will give you bulletproof nails for sure.
This set is $38 for three full size polishes and that comes down to $12.66 for each shade which is quite the steal given that these are $18 individually. I love using Consequence of Fame as a fun pop of color on my toes and The Message is a deep wine with a sheen out of this world, I cannot get enough of this and I get so excited now that we're in the Spring time because it will just pop on my nails.
I've attached a photo of Forever Fades Fast with Shattered Souls at the tip which has been on my nails for 10 days currently. I'm not that into nail designs on myself and I wanted to try the two and see if they layered well. Yes they absolutely do!
