Beauty Product Reviews
Transforms dull skin into a gorgeous glow!
I came upon this brand and product while browsing through the Beautylish A-Z. The delivery system caught my eye. It's a compact, with tiny holes in the bottom, which you push lightly to dispense any amount of primer you wish. The enclosed sponge (looks flat like a powder puff) is used to moisten the primer onto the sponge, then apply to your face. Omg! The very first time I saw this magical concoction on my dull skin, I was sold! It is like a skincare meets highlighter, without the glitter or greasiness. There's an almost iridescent blue hue, that awakens my skin so much so, that it could be left as is, with just a little setting powder. I also bought the VDL liquid foundation, which is lovely, too. I've tried easily 15 different product combinations, but this is my go to from now on. Who says skin has to look "mature" just because we age..?? Not this amazing product!!
Nothing this brush can't do!
This is my 4th Wayne Goss brush. I needed one for detail work and liner. The shape of this brush is perfect for corners, liner, shading, and deepening shades. It's shorter than others I have, but sturdy and beautifully crafted. Cleans easily, which is something I do often, since I use it every makeup day.
Unlike any other gloss hybrid!
Picked this up Duty Free recently at an airport, trying to find a moisturizing liquid lip, that would not spread, and would hold its pigment. This is that product! Even hours later, the shade was still visible, so with a little bit of clear gloss, it looked fresh again. The swatch online is true to the color. Feels amazing and hydrating. User friendly applicator. Will be getting more!
So many options!!
Received this early through PR, but am buying a backup now on Beautylish. I adore purples and pinks, and have read that they are among some of the harder shades to produce..? The selection here is amazing! So many shades to fit your mood. The packaging is stunningly luxe, and makes me want to buy the full bundle. Quality is typical Jeffree Star; velvety smooth, easy to blend, and the pigment..!!! You get one swipe payoff, but can go in light enough to build up if you prefer a less dramatic effect. The mattes are awesome for a nice neutral work look. I just add a metallic on the center lid for going out later. Gorgeous palette, and so grateful to have cool colors like these for Spring. I love Executioner for a liner, but used a damp brush and found it crumbled a little once it dried.. The mirror on mine had a thin, plastic film, that you can pull off, to reveal the actual mirror.. Hope that helps. Also, loving the new “wet” shades. Very innovative.
Shimmer for all ages!
I avoid too much shimmer because my skin is considered “mature”, according to age, but I still love to have a subtle glow. The Anastasia Sugar palette is the perfect blend of shades for not just me, but any age. You can go pink with Gumdrop, or gold with the 1st and 4th shades, but my favorite is to blend Gumdrop with Butterscotch for a gorgeous, versatile combination. The powder is so finely milled, it doesn’t settle into lines, and is instead, just a smooth wash of sparkle and shine. No oily or greasiness, just a silky pop of highlight. I use on my temples, upper cheeks, and Cupid’s bow. Takes 30 seconds for long lasting results. I can easily go 8 hours without a touch up. Cannot say enough good words about this beautiful color range and subtle shimmer!
Absolute best!
I had been looking for a rich, deep burgundy lipstick that would not be too drying, but would still have a matte-ish texture. I love Tom Ford and am so happy that Beautylish carries his line. I found this swatch and it is perfect. I am honey-blonde, grey eyes, fair skin. It is one of few dark burgundy lips I can wear that don't wash out my skin. This collection (I have several) is awesome for its subtle shimmer and moisturizing feel. It stayed on for several hours at work without a touch up, and goes on so smoothly. The Boys and Girls are a great way to own a prestige lip without the full cost of a regular Tom Ford lipstick. This color goes with all of the trendy shades of crimson and aubergine. Thanks Beautylish!!!
This is Charlotte??
This is my first CT palette though I have a cream shadow that is amazing. But so far, I'm not impressed. The neutrals are dull in person, and the glitters are too similar once applied. Besides the fallout, you have to work hard to build the color, and I mean HARD. As a fan of Natasha Denona, I had high expectations from another well known MUA, but this may have to go back. Not enough to differentiate the looks, and while I could see the similarities before buying them, I expected the payoff to be much richer. Not having other CT palettes to compare it to makes me hesitant to even bother after this one. Haven't used it since day #2. May have to be my first return to Beautylish. Disappointed.
Glittery, but smooth..
I tried this on two hours ago, and the shimmer is still on, even after coffee. It IS a topper though, so I'm sure I'll have to reapply often. The finish is amazing. It has all the glitter we want, but the texture is still smooth and soft, not gritty. It smells very sweet at first, but then the smell diminishes. It's a perfect bubblegum pink by itself or over lip stick (I tried it both ways). Jouer and Jeffree together make a great combination!
Something for everyone
I've had this for 4 days and already its my favorite for fall. Rich, buttery, pigmented colors with just enough mattes to balance the many metallics and duo chromes. From pink duo chrome to green-red metallic to deep berry matte, this palette has broad appeal. I've needed two swipes or less to get full coverage. Haven't noticed fallout either, even when I tap my brush before applying. I've only tried them dry, not wet, but the coverage is awesome. Blending is easier too than with my other ND palettes. Pan sizes are smallish, but it takes so little for each eyelid. On color range alone, this is an amazing palette for most eye colors..
