Not what I expected

The only Natasha Denona's eyeshadow that I have is the purple blue palette and I love the quality of that one so I decided to get this since I love the color selection. However, I was left confused while trying it out. I received this on Thursday and immediately got extremely excited and want to play with this palette immediately. While dipping my brush in the super light pink for crease shadow, the shadow was skipping and that lightest pink barely show up on my crease. Mind you, I am a 118 in Maybelline Fit Me. Ok, one dud, it is ok. I picked up the purple and started to apply it to my eye and more skipping. It was so patchy. Ok , two dud. I pick up the other deeper purple and guess what? More patchiness. At this point, i got frustrated and just taken off my makeup. Today, i decided to give it another tru with my Wayne Goss brushes, the red on the second row is not as patchy or as bad as the pink and purple, however, it takes me a long time to make it show up. The glitter on the second row ( both pink and purple duochrome) have crazy fall out, but if you apply it with your finger, it looks beautiful. For 65 dollars and tax ( which comes to 70.04 dollars) I do not think this palette is worth it. I think i will go ahead and return this. I would give this a two star but Beautylish customers service and shipping is excellent so the extra star is for them. This is a disappointment. Was thinking about buying this as my birthday gift.
