Beauty Product Reviews
As much as I love Beautylish, my bag was a let down!
I purchased my first lucky bag in 2018 and was in love, I skipped 2019 and ordered a bag for 2020. Boy, oh boy, oh boy was I disappointed in my bag! In general LB's can vary in monetary value , but also personal value to the recipient, but almost everyone who purchased a dark to deep bag had the same contents as my bag and they too were heavily disappointed. I felt as though Beautylish this year more so than ever was trying to get rid of products that didn't sell. In my bag, I received the Under my skin palette by fame beauty (complete trash and clearly a product that was not selling), a crease two by Sonia G. (loved this brush, already owned one), a Hoilfrog cleanser, the Good Molecules Silicone free priming moisturizer, Danessa Myricks dew balm (really of all the products from her line, really) and a fuzzy brush roll. I would be very careful when considering a bag especially the deep dark ones.
Dry and difficult to work with
The palette looks like a pretty array of colors and the color story while not very exciting is not a common one. Even before trying the shadows, I knew that the palette was going to be a dud. The shadows are mostly mattes with glitters which are so difficulty to work with when you actually want to keep the glitter on your lids. What I found to be the best way to apply these shades is with your fingers and doing a minimal amount blending with a brush, the shadows are still difficult to blend without becoming muddy. I recommend using a sticky base like Fyrinnae's Pixie Epoxy if you want the glitter to stand out. I would not have purchased this if it were not in my lucky bag.
