FANTASTIC!!!
This was the first JSC Lip Velour I ever purchased and it's fantastic! It's super pigmented, is a beautiful metallic pink color, went on smoothly with no patchiness and wears like a dream with little to no dryness. I LOVE all of the JSC Lip Velour shades, but this is one of the most hydrating and long wearing of them all. I LOVE that these are multipurpose as stay put lipcolor, eyeshadow and eyeliner that paints beautifully! I know you can use some other brands of long wearing lipcolor for multiple uses too and I have, but I like that all of these are made to be multiuse and are safe! Eventually I'll have them all! The mua and painter in me just loves how much you can DO with them!!! Great job JSC!
Incredibly Overpriced!
As an artist I've cleaned more brushes than I could ever possibly remember as many family members before me have. We've all used the same standard solid cake brush cleaner that removes oils, acrylics, watercolors, makeup, sfx paints...you name it! My brushes are my tools and are extremely important to me! This is just a copy of a brand that's been around forever and costs a tremendous amount less. For the price of one of the 10z cakes here I could buy 5 of the brand I use- at full price - and mine works better and keeps my brushes in top shape! I also have a travel size and it has it's own case like the full size and lasts forever!
INSANELY Overpriced & Not as Good!
I'm absolutely amazed how much they're charging for solid brush cleaner, but obviously people are paying it because it's still here. I've been painting and a mua for a very long time (I grew up in a family of extremely successful artists, designers and scientists) and would never purchase this. I'm incredibly vigilant about keeping my brushes well cleaned and cared for properly and it definitely doesn't cost anywhere near this for the cake brush cleaner and conditioner that I use. Mine comes in a container so tbere less mess and product waste and removes everything including oils, acrylics and more! It's been around for way longer than I have and is a staple in the artist and sfx community. Don't waste your money! This is just an INSANELY overpriced version of the original classic solid brush cleaner that works WAY better and has for eons!
*Used* To Be The BEST Liquid Liner!
I have bought more of these than I could possibly remember in black, snow, dark brown and midnight along with other colors I don't use as often. Sadly, this used to be one of my daily go-to liquid liners since it was super pigmented, the pen flowed beautifully (usually not a pen liner fan) and it was INSANELY budgeproof and waterproof! That's SUPER important for me since my eyes are sensitive and I have allergies so my eyes water a lot! These liners could handle it though! A friend of mine used to call it 2 day liner because hers would last that long in work situations. SADLY they just don't hold up anymore! I don't know what they changed, but PLEASE change it back Stila! It really was a 'Stay All Day' liquid liner for years! Now it wipes off! I haven't changed anything nor have my friends and it just doesn't have the staying power anymore! I went out one day with winged liner and my left eye watered a tiny bit and POOF my left wing disapeared like my eyes were watering waterproof eyemakeup remover! I didn't have the liner with me and couldn't walk around with one wing so I dampened a tissue with water and the other wing came right off!!! I once had it stay on my hand for 2.5 days through a gazillion hand washings and two showers! It's not just one faulty liner either. I bought a few more in hopes and my friends did too....they're just not the same formula anymore. SO SAD! They were on my holy grail list!
