Does great things for dull blonde!
I Use this conditioner faithfully, but it has it's good and bad points. It brightens my platinum hair and keeps yellow at bay...my hair is very porous from years of damage, and this is the only purple conditioner that hasn't tinged it lavender (plus is smells AMAZING). I don't care for floral or fruity scents, and this is the opposite, it's sort of dark and sensuous smelling...that signature Oribe scent! It doesn't weigh down my hair, but I often need to go in either before or after with a more nourishing conditioner because it doesn't provide much in the way of moisture or detangling. It's not thin or watery right out of the bottle, but it kind of gets that way when I apply it to my wet hair. I end up using quite a bit as my hair is pretty long, which makes it not the greatest value. However, like I said above, it keeps my hair a bright, vibrant, platinum, without staining it purple, so I do repurchase it time and again. If you have coarse, porous, damaged, or dry hair, you will likely need a seperate conditioner and use this one en tandem. If you have long or thick hair, don't bother with the small tube if you want more than one or two uses, as you'll likely need the bigger size.
Awesome staying power, blend like a dream!
Duo #1, Nuelle/Bloodroses is my go-to favorite for cream blush and #4 Sculpt/Candlelight is my holy grail contouring duo, although I wish the shades were reversed. I use wayyyy more Sculpt than Candlelight and kept panning them. I've since remedied that by buying the Contour Book Vol.2 lol! I still love the duo though, it's amazing for travel and touch ups. The blushes have fantastic staying power, as nothing else seems to last thru my hot flashes (oh the joys!). I was intimidated by the pigmentation of the blushes at first...they seemed to pack more punch than I'm used to, but I quickly discovered their versatility: they can be blended out to a subtle flush or can be built up to be as bold as one wishes. I see folks complain about the size, but aside from panning Sculpt a time or two, the blushes pack such a pigment punch that I use very little and they last forever! I have not had issues with them drying out or going rancid, and I've had duo #1 since it's initial release! All in all, extreme versatility, optimum performance, and their compact size, make these little gems must-haves for me!
Stunning Yet Subtle
This powder is just beautiful. If you're looking for a mega-watt strobe effect, this is not the product you want...however, if you want subtle luminosity that doesn't accentuate fine lines or pores, get this NOW! When all the shades are swirled together (the ivory disk is matte), I've found it makes a beautiful finishing powder, and when picked up separately they can be used on the high points of the face to catch a bit of light for a perfect subtle glow. I'm fairly pale and the bronze shade is beautiful for ever-so-slightly warming up my skin when I don't want to mess with full-on bronzer. It is finely milled and silky, doesn't look chalky in the least, and doesn't look heavy, cakey, or overdone. My only complaint, and it's a finicky one, is the packaging. It's stunning to look at, but has a very plastic-y feel...there is no "heft" to it (maybe I'm just used to the heavy Densiliss blush compacts?), it is very light in the hand and not substantial feeling, which surprised me because I usually LOVE By Terry packaging. That small snippet aside, it contains a lovely product that even alone is worth the money!
Not for dry skin
My skin is normal for the most part, but I am aging and do get occasional dryness around my eyes and nose. I didn't think I had any flaky spots, well not until I used this primer. The texture feels nice going on, it's a very light gel...but once it was on my face, I immediately felt my skin tighten up (not in a good way) and my face suddenly felt very parched. I attempted to apply Sisley Sisleÿa Le Teint foundation, and started noticing flakes around my nose. Also, the foundation was sitting in every pore, which I thought was odd. I removed the primer, applied the foundation again, this time over my normal skincare and a no-frills moisturizer, and had a beautiful result, so I'm now certain the primer was the culprit. I imagine people with oily skin will benefit most from this product as long as they don't have issues with dehydration. I don't recommend it to anyone with even slightly dry skin. It made every line and wrinkle more noticeable also...so I am forced to give it a thumbs down, especially with it's expensive price tag.
Good product that is cheaply packaged
I've been a user of Light Expert for a few years now and love the formula as much as ever. The new shade range was also a plus because now I have an exact match for my NW20 skin in #4 Rosy Beige. The foundation is light/silky in texture, glides on and blends effortlessly, has a beautiful satiny finish, and ok wear time (about 6 hours on me before I need to touch up). It is heavily fragranced with Terry's signature Rose scent, which I enjoy, but be aware that it is most definitely perfumed. Now for my gripe: The packaging. I hated the brush on the old packaging so I was excited to see an updated version with this launch. The brush on the current version looked to be very functional with its beveled head, purportedly densely packed-yet-soft bristles, and it's ability to be removed for washing. Upon arrival, I popped the lid off of my pen only to find a nightmarishly crooked bevel on the brush (huge humps, uneven bevel, it was just awful). Big chunks were literally just missing out of the bristles, I can't even begin to emphasize how poorly this brush was constructed. It was a big bummer, but I was willing to just not use the brush outside of initial application...well that didn't happen either. I clicked and clicked, but no product came out. I thought it may have just been a defective pen or a clog, but when I unscrewed the brush to see if it was clogged, I discovered the foundation had been pooling in the area underneath the brush instead of coming up thru. I took it completely apart and reassembled it only to have the same thing happen. I was left with a ton of wasted product and a huge mess to clean up...I was very unhappy. The amazing folks at Beautylish happily exchanged the product, and while the second brush didn't have the waste problems of the first, it too was poorly beveled and poorly constructed. Honestly, the whole thing feels flimsy and cheap in the hand and I am so disappointed. It's a fantastic formula in terrible packaging...and I strongly feel that for the price, every aspect of the product should be top-notch. I won't be repurchasing Light Expert as long as it is in this type of packaging
Absolutely Gorgeous
This trio from Kevyn Aucoin has been a must-have for me since I used it for the first time. The highlight shade is a gorgeous champagne with hints of pink, the blush is a beautiful medium pink, and the bronzer is on the neutral/cool side so those looking for a cooler bronzer that has zero orange tones will be very pleased! The shades can be swirled together, used separately, or mixed and matched to your heart's content...I am totally in love! The overall finish is glowy, with the highlighter being the most radiant, but no visible glitter...just gorgeous glow. The texture is seriously like velvet and the powders all blend seamlessly without looking dry or emphasizing pores. Wear time is exceptional, I didn't get any fading till around hour 9 and that was because I had bee talking on my cell phone lol! I did find the formula to kick up a bit of powder, but nothing dry or chalky...I am just careful which brushes I use as to prevent waste. All three shades in the compact are very pigmented, so a light hand should be used at first, but they're easy to blend and sheer out if you do go overboard. I was also very surprised and pleased at the size of these compacts...21g of product is quite a lot! Packaging is classic KA, sleek yet substantial, gorgeous yet functional. Out of all of the similarly themed face palettes I've purchased this year, this is by far and away my favorite. My skintone is NW20 and Capri is the perfect mix of shades for me. Just to give an idea of pigmentation, each swatch in my photo is ONE finger swipe! I highly recommend these beautiful KA palettes!
Amazing Cream!
The reviewers below have said it all...this cream is silky, doesn't feel greasy, and has calmed my redness like nothing ever has. It is wonderfully hydrating, smoothing, and smells lightly of lemons (which I find refreshing). This cream has outperformed everything I've tried since I began visibly aging, I can't thank IT Cosmetics enough for making it...it runs circles around creams 4x it's price! Love it so much!!
Pleasantly surprised!
I was so ready not to like this because the majority of reviews I read were not on the positive side...well the joke was on me, because I absolutely love this foundation! I did find applying with a Beauty Blender to be the best way for me...it gave me even toned, luminous skin and it wore very well for such a moisturizing formula! It stands up to my hot flashes...major plus! It feels amazing going on, very smooth and hydrating, and it feels weightless once applied. I also found it to layer very easily so I can build coverage in areas where I need a bit more. I do have to dust my tzone with a light finishing powder around 6 hours into the day because my nose gets shiny...but I don't need any heavy setting powders to keep it in place. I am NW20 and shade Fair matches me perfectly. This foundation gives my dull/mature skin a glow I've wanted to find for so long! I am so happy I decided to try it!
Amazing!
These shadows are just insane. Buttery, mega pigmented, last forever once applied!! I can't say enough good about them! I'm so excited they're at Beautylish now and are much more accessible! One touch of the brush to the eyeshadow yields enough pigment for mega-drama, yet they blend like an absolute dream so they are very wearable/easy to work with. Perfection in a pan...without a doubt! I have 4 of the 5-pan palettes and can't wait to load up on some singles!
