Darkens under eye concealer

I was skeptical before purchasing since this powder is made of only silica just like the mufe hd powder, and that one made my under eyes so much darker, unfortunately this one does exactly the same. No matter if I bake with this, or just set lightly with a brush, it makes no difference. Since I don't normally powder my whole face just my under eyes this powder is pretty much useless to me.

Perfect for those with sparse eyelashes

This mascara holds curls almost all day long and that was impossible before on my thin and teeny lashes. Took me a while to adjust to the comb wand but once you get used to it it's really effective for separating and lengthening your lashes. It doesn't smudge but it does flake a little after a long day but it's nothing serious.

Looks nice in photos, glittery in real life

When I heard all the rave about becca highlighters, I just had to get my hands on one. Yes, it swatches beautifully, it's super pigmented (to me that's not much of a merit because I also like highlighters that can be built up nicely on the skin), and it is a blinding highlighter. Don't get me wrong, I love a strong highlight, but I have to say that the heavy swatches we see online are often quite misleading. Once I blended this out on my skin, I was sorely disappointed to see very prominent glitters on my face. Even my friends noticed. It's not one of those chunky glittery highlighters, which is confusing because when I finger swatch it, it feels soft and buttery, but once it's on my skin it looks powdery and tends to sit on top instead of melding into my skin. This product does have a lot of kickback, the way I have made this highlighter work is just really work it into the skin with my brush, I keep blending until I have swept all the big glitters off and I'm left with a smooth, seamless, and glossy highlight.

Best powder I've ever tried

I've always had to put on quite an amount of concealer under my eyes because I suffer from hereditary dark circles. I've tried many powders to set my under eyes in the past, loose and pressed, and only this powder can truly mask the fact that I have tons of concealer underneath. It doesn't look crepey or powdery and the blurring effect is very prominent. It is truly translucent and the most important thing is that it doesn't darken your concealer like some powders do. My favourite way to apply this is to use my beautyblender to really press the powder into the skin. If you're looking for an oil controlling powder then this might not be your thing, I have oily skin but I don't like to powder myself until I'm completely matte so I don't have a problem with applying this to other areas of my face.

Good for those who want hydration, but...

I knew upon purchasing this primer that it is the type that gives you hydration, brightens and provides a tacky layer for your foundation to adhere to. While I find that this primer does what it claims to do, it's not quite enough for me. The purple pigments in this primer are just not enough to give a noticeable brightening effect, likewise the very subtle shimmer particles which is supposed to give the skin a luminous finish are completely masked once I put foundation on.

The biggest problem I have with this is the pump. I don't see anyone complaining about this so I assume mine is just faulty, but I cannot pump the product without it squirting everywhere! I can only press the pump very gently or go all the way, which the latter will leave my desk with purple primer spritzed everywhere...

Doesn't do anything for dark circles

I've tried tonnes of eye products in the past and none had made the slightest difference for my dark circles so I wasn't surprised with this one. I can't say whether this is effective for puffiness since that isn't something my eyes suffer from, but I really appreciate how this eye gel is light enough to layer under makeup, and gives almost a cooling and refreshing sensation when you put it on.
