Beauty Product Reviews
Does not just moisturize, actually makes things look better
So a moisturizer is a moisturizer. I don't expect the world of it. This one, though, goes on so nicely, is thick but not too heavy for day wear (I do have dry skin though) and it makes my skin look good, casts a glow, slightly blurs pores. Perhaps not a miracle, but it is very, very good and is definitely up in my top 3 moisturizers. Also, this has 2 ounces as opposed to the standard one, so it's 24 dollars per ounce, which is really good compared to other more high end moisturizers of comparable quality. The packaging is an added bonus as its so heavy and luxe feeling, if that matters to you.
Didn't work for me
I am only 24, but I have a deep wrinkle under each eye (probably from squinting as a teenager when I refused to wear my glasses), crepey lines and discoloration. All in all, my under eyes are a hot mess and are, by far, my biggest insecurity. I have been looking for almost 4 years now for anything to fix it. So when I read the good reviews on this and it was, though still expensive, not so ridiculously priced I wouldn't even fathom being able to purchase it, I was all in. But 6 weeks later nothing had changed. Though it does say best results in 8 weeks, I can't see 2 more weeks creating magic when the past 6 yielded little to no results. I realize a topical treatment can't do everything I wanted, but this did nothing at all. I've since switched to an eye cream that is a third of the price, from the drug store (imagine!) and has done more in a matter of days than this did in weeks. I can't say for sure whether this would/wouldn't work on someone else because we all different skin and different goals, but for me, it was just an expensive experiment that ended like all the eye creams before it.
Simply overpriced
They're great eyeshadows. They feel nice and they have good pigment pay-off. That being said, this palette is not worth 240 dollars. I got it in my lucky bag so I didn't pay 240 dollars for it and after testing it, I'm very glad to have it, but they're not the best eyeshadows I've ever used. The matte blues do not blend particularly well, either. If you can afford 240 dollars with no stretch, then absolutely, buy away. But if this is a "save up for months" splurge, I wouldn't recommend it because it simply isn't worth the pricetag.
Wanted to love it
I'm clearly in the minority and thats ok. I'm obsessed with the liquid lipsticks from Makeup Monsters and Limecrime so I had very high standards. The color was just as gorgeous as I thought it would be, but I really hated the formula. The staying power was just not there and I had a tremendous amount of transfer. Its not exactly a poor quality lipstick and is not incredibly drying or anything, but if transfer and staying power is a deal breaker for you as it is for me, I would suggest looking elsewhere, as there's better formulas in the same price range. (Btw, Im wearing it in my picture, its a gorgeous color while it lasts)
