Beauty Product Reviews
I didn’t need these but I bought them anyways
I own so many Japanese brushes. I saw these and was going to pass but then decided to order them after all. The brushes are very nice quality and the bristles are soft. I do enjoy the natural hair brushes more though. I love it when you wash the new brushes and they start to fluff out as they dry. You won’t get that effect with these synthetic brushes. I knew that would be the case but I bought them anyways. The 25S is my favorite kind of brush. It’s what made me buy the set. I compared it to many of my other brushes of the same type and I think it is almost exactly the same feel as the Hakuhodo+Sephora collaboration. Unfortunately, I never use that brush much. I have them shown in the photo below. I included a photo of my Hakuhodo F1312 (goat+synthetic) just for size reference to the 24S. These are nice quality brushes and will be great for those who want cruelty free. I think I will stick with natural hair brushes in the high end category. I think I’m happy with cheaper brand brushes when it comes to synthetics.
Perfect Size
I just received this MYKITCO item today. It was well made and a perfect size for my makeup brushes. I plan on using this for travel. I don't take my good brushes with me on trips and I tried my less expensive brushes in the pod and they fit perfectly! Sigma, Smith Cosmetics, Sonia Kashuk & It Cosmetics brushes. I'm not a make up artist so I don't use that many brushes. Maybe 8 at most. There's still plenty of room for mascara, eyeliners and brow pencils too! I plan on getting more pieces for my travel needs. I also bought the small pouch and was pleased with the size and functionality.
Great Pencil Brush
This brush is almost a dupe for my Hakuhodo G5548. I reach for my Hakuhodo almost daily so I didn’t mind having a similar brush. Sonia’s Brush is possibly a bit firmer than the G5548, which for me is good. It is very soft and a high quality finish. You can’t go wrong with any of Sonia’s brushes, she is such an expert on brushes that I knew her line would be amazing! I also have the Worker One and the Crease One. I am hoping she releases more brushes as I would love to see a candle shaped face brush and possibly an eye blender brush in goat. Hint, hint...
Beautiful must have!
I just received this brush from Beautylish. Shipping was amazingly fast and it arrived a day ahead of schedule! I opened the brush, felt the weight of the brush, the softness and density of the bristles and immediately ran back to my computer to place an order for more. I have been following Sonia's blog for awhile now and have looked to her for good brush advice and recommendations. I knew the brushes would be quality. I wish her much success and also more brushes to the line :)
