Beauty Product Reviews
The Everything Brush!
This is my favorite brush ever. I can use it for everything: shading, contouring, concealing, eyeshadow placement. My main use for it is to shade my hooded eyes. I watched Rae Morris’ video on how to use it for this reason and it has been a game changer.
Great for Setting and Adding Dewy Finish
This spray is great for when you want a dewy look but don’t want your makeup to slide off. It also worked for me when I over powdered over my foundation. A few sprays and voila, my makeup looked fresh and light.
Gloss & No Frizz!
Received a sample of this and will definitely be buying a full size tube. Worked even on my curly frizz and during humidity after blow drying it straight.
Another Brilliant Danessa Myricks Product
I cannot overstate how incredibly thrilled I am with the quality of this brand. I purchased this blush because of how phenomenal the Yummy Skin Blurring Balm powder performs on my combo skin. I am thrilled to add this blush as an HG product as well. Rosé N Brunch is a gorgeous pink-peach. A little goes a long way, so go in with a light hand (I tap my brush into the color lightly), although you can blend it down if you put too much on. It is long wear and while I prefer underpainting, I tap a tiny bit more over foundation.
LUXE!
These sponges have a velvety surface and they look and feel so luxurious on the skin. They blend makeup like a dream, be it foundation, concealer or blush. Purchased more to place in all my mu bags and to give as gifts.
Beautiful Multi-Use Contour Color
First of all this color, Carve, is excellent for anyone who loves a natural looking contour any time of day. It’s long wearing, but, fast setting, so I recommend blending as you place your color (so no dotting all over and blending after). Once blended, it looks FLAWLESS, natural and it lasts until I take it off. Only a master makeup artist and makeup lover could have come up with this HG product.
Great Travel Brushes
I love these as travel and daily brushes; they’re compact and perform beautifully. My two favorites are the Jumbo Base and the Jumbo Worker. The base brush is perfect for spot detail e.g. around the nose and chin. The Jumbo worker is perfect for my one and done eye looks. It’s a given that Sonia G brushes are gorgeously crafted and these live up to that expectation. The shorter handles are also great for my nearsightedness, as Wendy S. has commented in an earlier review (thank you, Wendy!).
Gorgeous Craftsmanship & Performance
Soft is an understatement for these two brushes. Whether I use them interchangeably for blush/bronzer, to powder over my concealer or the t-zone, they perform like a dream. They blend so beautifully, that even an intense color like my bronzer is diffused to a natural looking finish. The background of how the wood handles are sourced, the symbolism of the cranes and the great craftsmanship makes these brushes so special; I’m so happy to have them in my brush book.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE
This mist is an HG find! It imparts just the right healthy dewiness-not oily-under or over my skin, with or without foundation. The perfect mist to have on hand if your foundation has turned out to be overly matte, which recently happened to me and in a sec Thirst Things First added a healthy hydrated ‘my skin but better’ vibrancy.
Great Eyebrow Brush
I’ve been searching for an eyebrow brush firm enough to add strokes of color, most are too flexible to be precise. This brush is definitely not bendy, in fact the bristles are very stiff, perfect for a creating a natural looking brow.
