Heavenly, but it sheds

This brush is absolutely gorgeous. It's one of the most plush, luxurious brushes I own- actually, it probably is the most luxurious brush I own. It's simply superb. The only downside to it- and it's a big one- is after a few months of using it I noticed that it started losing a hair or two every time I used it (and that would be every day because this brush is so fantastic). I really don't know if it's me or the brush. I treat it with the same reverence I do all of my other Japanese brushes and don't have the same shedding problem with them, so I wonder if maybe I got a bad batch? But then again, maybe it is me and not the brush, I just can't figure out what exactly I could have done to it to make it shed when my other brushes don't.

At any rate, it's got thousands of bristles and I don't think it's going to start getting thin any time soon, so I'm sure I have years of use left, but I am disappointed that a 75 dollar brush is so sheddy. It's so perfect in every other way though, I won't lie, I'll probably order another one when this one becomes unusable.

won me over

When I first got this brush I gave it 4 stars and mentioned that I never reached for it. Now I'm not really sure why. It's incredible! I love it for applying my under brow highlight shade. Not only does it place the color perfectly but it also quickly and efficiently blends out my transition shade below with pretty much no effort whatsoever. I love this brush now and would be devastated to do without it.

great for bronzer and powder foundations

true story: before this brush and number 10 I did not wear bronzer. I was too pale, I thought, and I couldn't seem to be a diffused, soft application. But this is just perfect for my sheerer bronzers and the 10 is perfect for more pigmented ones. If I wore powder foundations this brush would be perfect for that.

bronzer heaven

I didn't think I even needed this brush, but I wanted Wayne's complete collection so I got it anyway. Turns out this is my favorite of the bunch. As someone with very fair skin, bronzing lightly has always been hard for me but this brush has changed everything. It's the most perfect bronzer brush for a soft, natural looking application. I never want to be without this brush again!

ooooo, this brush

Boy, this brush is pricey but it is SO nice. I've used it every day since getting it for my outer 'v.' It's just like the perfect shape and firmness but also giving enough and so soft. Ugh. It's gorgeous and so functional. *walks away with stars in her eyes*

contour!

I bought this for blush, but it was really too small for my big ol cheeks and left me with too small patches of blush. Then I tried it for contour, and oh my goodness. I thought I could never contour because it always looks too dark and weird on me, but this lays down such a tiny wash of color that even I can't mess it up. Beautiful, soft, diffused contour is now mine!!!!!

quality five stars, shape four stars

I feel sort of disloyal saying this, but I'm having a hard time with this one. The quality is AWESOME, but I'm not used to crease brushes being this pointed. My old ones are flatter and stiffer goat hair brushes. This all comes down to personal preference, though, and I think with time and practice I'll come to like this one. It's so beautiful and soft that I'm definitely motivated to make it work. It's really such a pleasure for brushes this soft and luxurious just to touch my face.

I'll say this though, in case Wayne reads these to see what consumers are looking for (love you, Wayne!), I would personally love to buy some dome shaped, stiff goat hair crease brushes from you. I can get them from other places but you're an artist I'd like to support.

second favorite of the eye set

Oooo, this brush is such a beauty. Perfect for highlighting your brown bone. I LOVE how thin and firm it is and the shape is perfect- large enough to cover a large area quickly but no so big that I don't feel like I have good control over it. The brush I used before was too thick and large and sometimes I accidentally got shadow all over my eyebrow hairs.

lovely brush

This brush is wonderful. I love how thin and firm it is. Something about that combination makes me feel like I have so much control when using this brush. Love it

not a shape I reach for

Absolutely no denying the quality- this brush is so beautiful and soft. But I tried that whole upswept from the corners eyeshadow look Wayne talked about and it really didn't work for me. I think my eyes are too small. I do like this for putting my browbone highlight on and then giving everything below a quick blend while I'm at it, but this brush doesn't feel like a necessity to me. I actually thinK I might like it better for other areas of the face... contour? cream highlight? I'll have to experiment some more.
