Beauty Product Reviews
Only eye product that has actually worked for my eyes
I have tried over 15 different eye creams and serums ranging from drunk elephant, origins, Kiehl's, and much much more. All of them gave me the same allergic reaction of redness, puffiness, dry red patches that were always sore to the touch, and flaking skin on my under eyes. So I had completely given up hope of finding a good eye product. I saw the reviews for this and wanted to give an eye product one last try. My eyes finally decided that they liked this product and have been using this since the end of March. It's now May 1st so I think it's been a good while for me to fully review the product. This doesn't help with all the many issues I have with my eyes. But it does a damn good job of what it does take care of. For example, if I got a horrible night's sleep, I would wake up with extremely puffy eyes and very dark under eye circles. After using this, I don't get the same puffiness or darkness in my under eyes if I get a crappy night's sleep. My eyes actually look quite the opposite in the mornings. I don't notice my fine lines in my under eyes being diminished or reduced at all. They actually look about quite the same as when I first started using the serum. However, my upper lids look and feel so much smoother and softer than before. The skin around my eyes was always super dry but as mentioned before, I always had allergic reactions to eye care products so there was no remedying my dry eyes. But this serum has definitely saved my eyes.
It broke me out in pimples and rashes.
At first, I was very excited to finally try the magic cream. I heard only the best things and it was actually really nice the first week I used it. My face felt very moisturized and smooth. Unfortunately, after using it for about two and a half weeks, I ended up getting about 5 pimples all in one day. I also broke out in a huge rash along my jawline. After I stopped using, my skin returned to normal. I haven't tried using it again just because the only new thing added to my skin care was the magic cream. Therefore, I didn't have any assumptions that it was another new product I was using.
Can't wait for more Lucky Bags!
It kind of felt like a Christmas present to myself, which I really appreciated. Two items I received in the Lucky Bag I already had in my makeup collection, so I will definitely be using those once I run out of the original items I bought before I bought the Lucky Bag. Other than that, I was definitely pleasantly surprised with the products I did receive. I really do like high end makeup, especially cruelty free high end makeup, which most of the products are [cruelty free]. I can't wait to purchase more lucky bags in the future.
This didn't work for me as well as my laura mercier translucent powder, but I think it's still a great powder for the price. I have very picky eyes, and no matter what powder, concealer, and tools to apply it, I always get creasing in my undereyes within the hour. With this powder, I did notice creasing after about 2 hours of wear. I noticed that I also do get a really tiny amount of white cast on my under eyes when baking my under eyes. But I just really need to go for it and dust off the powder like crazy, use some setting spray, and most of the time the white cast goes away.
The lash guard has definitely helped keep mascara from transferring to my lid. I have pretty hooded eyes and have gotten mascara on the hood of my eye on more than one occasion. Still getting used to holding it and figuring out what the best way to use it is. I've definitely noticed a difference in the way my lashes stand as well. The length of my lashes starts to wilt after about a half hour. I'd recommend warming up your lash curler with a blow dryer or a lighter, then curling your lashes before using the lash guard. I usually do about 2-3 coats of mascara with the lash guard.
