Works, but strong scent (and it lingers), not great for natural hair bristles
This brush cleaner definitely works, but the scent can be overpowering and it lingers. Natural hair bristles tend to absorb the scent so it stays longer, and the product can be a bit heavy on synthetic bristles even after rinsing. If you like the scent (strong citrus), you may enjoy this for personal use, but I wouldn't recommend it for professionals, as clients may find the scent abrasive.
Small but pigmented, blends well
This product blends out beautifully! The shimmer isn't overpowering, though it can be built up to a similar intensity as the Becca SSP and Anastasia illuminators. The small size means it's portable, which is a plus for pros and makeup lovers on the go! Works better than similar products for flash photography, and since it's fairly finely milled the shimmer won't emphasize skin texture. Highly recommend!
Works well, lasts forever, can get dry if not properly cared for
A (very) little bit goes a long way! Definitely don't try to pack it on at first. Because it's so pigmented it can be easy to overdo at first and there might be a bit of a learning curve. However, don't be discouraged from trying it! It's very easy to work with after just a little practice, and a bonus is that the product will take a long time to work through! The only thing I would recommend is to close the jar quickly, since the product can dry a bit. Don't worry if it seems flaky- try depotting and warming some product on the back of your (sanitized) hand to restore the creaminess and improve the way it applies. Dipbrow works well on sparse and full brows, so it's great for personal and professional use!
There is a difference!
There is definitely a difference between this and similar sponges. I would consider it worth the extra money, but your miles may vary. Works best damp (wet or soak it, then squeeze out excess water over a sink or into a towel) to apply a sheer-light covering of foundation, or to blend out foundations and concealers applied with other tools. It is possible to build coverage using only the beauty blender, but I wouldn't recommend that as it won't be the quickest method or most economical use of product!
