Love it!
These two eyeshadows are perfect for an everyday look; they are long lasting, have a great texture and come with some handy brushes which I use with them.
The first shade, Golden Sand, is a lovely light champagne-like color, which goes more on the matte side but also has some tiny golden specks in them as the name says. Ive almost hit pan on this one already! The second color, Brown Earth, is a very pigmented clay color, so it seems both brown and red. Although Ive almost hit pan on Golden Sand, I barely scratched the surface of Brown Earth as Ive mentioned it is incredibly pigmented and a little goes a long way. Applying this on the crease with the pointed brush allows for great precision and really matches perfectly with Golden Sand. Highly recommend this product :)
Rich colours, Long lasting
This was my favourite pallet Fall '10. With a shimmering all over / highlighting pink and a defining amethyst purple, this set can be used wet or dry and comes with 2 sponge applicators. Highly pigments, a little goes a long way. I love smudging the darker shade in all of my smokey eyes - it's dramatic and seductive.
The go on silky smooth, and never look frosty, just beautiful.
They are a splurge at $41 ($20.50 per shadow) I have 2 sets and I will probably not buy more because you get a bigger bang for your buck with Dior's 5 Couleurs Designer pallets.
ultra smooth application
This is a beautiful, natural-looking duo if you've never tried YSL eye shadows before. The bronze color is not really a true copper bronze but more of a deep olive green bronze. It goes on so smoothly and the two shades complement each other well. The only thing is that these shades are pretty light for my tastes and I would have to pack on a few layers to see darker color on my lids. Otherwise, a natural, carefree look would be ideal with this duo. This was introduced during the Spring 2010 season but I hope they'll keep it on the permanent collection.
I also got to try the new Fall 2010 duo in #29 Purple Amethyst/Tawny Brown and that's a good one to have if you need a violet purple/light shimmery brown duo. The brown is not too dark and you can use it separately for a light smoky look.
