So nostalgic
It’s adorable . True sugarpill style. I would love to see them do more themed items in the future.
For the cosmetics collector in you
Im not exactly thrilled with Sugarpills formula of shadows or blush /highlighter, I will speak on how much I love their liquid lips however and adore this set for reminding me of my childhood. I had to have it for my cosmetics display collection and the lip set that matches is adorable and so fun to wear.
Fall for this great deal!
Sugarpill has not come to my attention until this Black Friday sales! After several quick Youtube reviews on the shades and consideration of usability, I felt that I can play something with this palette, and the sales pushed me even more for it! I was thinking about the set with lippie as well coz I like the bright pink but studied that the green blue is more dull in real and both colors I am less likely to use so I went with only the palette.
I was thrilled when I first have them swatched on my skin, the colors are so sweet! After playing with it for few days, I gather that this can be my on the go palette for hols as I can have it with multiple eyes look and highlight! It gives a normal daily look with any combination of Dream Dust, Sky Candy, Twinkle Twinkle and Wish, or a playful look for outings by bringing in Star Ribbon to the combi yet without a 'what are you doing?' or 'are you okay?'outcome, or if you want a exaggerate cold play look, it can be built up too! But for build up, I find it better with fingers if you do not do wet your brush. The colors are much prettier applied with combination than single shade alone. For highlight, I have Cloud Maker for cheek bone with Too Faced Rainbow Strobing Brush, that makes the highlight applied evenly and solidly than my Sigma F37, and nose bridge with first Dream Dust and coat appropriately with Cloud Maker. Remembered one of the Youtuber mentioned Sky Candy can be used as blush as well but I yet try that :)
This palette’s texture is very unique...just like all of sugarpill’s shadows. It’s almost a putty texture like those Stila hilighters, but drier. I think the formulation focuses more on blendability and fallout control rather than pigmentation. If you’re someone who loves high saturation I really wouldn’t recommend this. But the design is so adorable and the shadows are nice for a quick wash of sheer color.
Cute & Colorful
Recently I went to the Los Angeles IMATs show where they showcase various makeup artists and brands. I purchased a few items from Sugarpill. I was pleased with their formulation and jumped at the chance to get this palette. The eyeshadows are creamy, & little fallout. For pastel colors, they don't need to be paired too much with matte eyeshadows. The final selling point is the adorable Sanrio collaboration. It’s amazing!!!
I love this palette from the packaging to the colors and formula. They’re smooth and very easy to blend. The foiled shadows seem flaky but as soon as you smooth over them they melt into each other and look seamless. I regret not getting the whole collection.
