In The Garden Palette
Reviews
There's something really playful about In the Garden.
A perfect mix of neutrals and color, matte and shimmer. Smooth, with nice color payoff, but not too crazy pigmented--for a neutral kinda girl, this is key. I like to wear the jewel toned e/s as on the upper lashline. My preferred way: Lay on some of the black/olive (glittery!) eyeliner--a thicker line of it. Follow with a wash of the lighter, nude-y shades. I top it all off with one of the richer jewel shades on the lashline, applied with dampened slanted eyeliner brush.
Great Colors
I first originally saw this Palette online at Sephora.com on sale for a really great price so I decided I'd buy it.The palette comes with 8 shimmers, 1 demi-shimmer, 1 matte, and 1 smudge stick waterproof liner. I LOVE the smudge stick; the color is great and it has a little shimmer which makes the eyes brighter, but doesn't look too "glamorous". I usually add this color to my lash line so it gives my eyes great definition and stays on all day. The shadows are nicely pigmented and give you the same color on the lid as shown on the palette. These shadows are also smooth and blend well with each other. The reason I give it four stars instead of the full five is because I rarely use the brighter colors: Feesia, Juniper, and Rosette. I'm still learning how to use bright colors like these so I don't like them yet. But overall this palette is truly beautiful :)
Great palette for all eye colors
Here is my video explaining a bit about it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nV2MaqDa0_U
I also have a blog review on this palette. http://makeupblossom.blogspot.com/2012/05/stilas-in-garden-palette.html
Great variety of colors & great pigmentation. A great palette for spring!! The eyeliner is great too, but it isn't black like everyone thinks...it's a dark olive color with gold flecks. Still a nice eyeliner & very pigmented.
