How To: Luxe Eye Shadow Palette - Happy Hour
Reviews
I wanted to love this....
The colors are beautiful the matte to shimmer ratio is perfect. The formula for these is just tragic, I really had wished they had gotten this right, I would have even been happy with it being mediocre. I sent this back. I imagine that somebody can make it work, but I have to many other options that are easier to work with that I would use over this. Such a disappointment.
Awful
I bought this directly from Stila's website while they were having a sale and I'm just going to list the pros and cons of this palette. *I did use primer and glitter glue*
Pro: Beautiful packaging
Con: Patchy mattes, Fallout w no payoff, Pigment in the glitters fades almost immediately until you're left with just glitter all over your face, Stilas return policy is a joke I'll never buy directly from them again.
Save your money, there are WAY better palettes out there. This was just so disappointing and I'm so frustrated with Stila's crazy return policy
Happy not Happy
I have both of these palettes, and the only thing keeping me from sending them back are the shimmers, luckily the happy hour only has a few mattes. The shimmers in both palettes are absolutely beautiful and apply and stay on well, but the mattes are a sad disappointment, there is not a lot of pigment, but you can build them up, however once you build them up, they go patchy in places leaving skin showing thru, while the rest of it just blends away to nothing. It got so bad with the bald spots that I couldn't even take another eyeshadow over it, at last I had to wipe everything off and start again, bringing in my Jeffree Star palettes and using his mattes instead, then used the shimmers from the Stila palettes. Like I said, the shimmers are so gorgeous I have to keep them for those, otherwise I would return both.
